I really like K&N filters. Made in America. I really like the nut on the end of the filter, beats the heck out of an oil wrench or the myriad of oil filter cap wrenches (I have a drawer full of different sizes). Look for other reviews on comparisons with other filters. I've just always been happy with these.

K&N is trustworthy. The hex-head on the back can be helpful for threading on and off. Not sure if it will be suitable for the full 20,000 as boasted on the packaging...

I am a die-hard K&N Fan. I’ve used this exclusively for the last 190K miles. The 1” nut on the end makes it so much easier than have to use an oil filter wrench to change out.

I waited a long, LONG time before trying to change the oil on my car myself. I installed a supercharger, I've done suspension work, I've done electrical stuff, I've done AC, but I always figured the risk of damaging my car by doing the oil incorrectly vs. the reward of better oil and saving money on oil changes wasn't worth it.Listen - don't go another oil change without learning a) how to do it yourself and b) what the best oil you can buy is.This same filter was almost $15 in store. If you go to a shop, they'll PROBABLY change your filter, but they'll use some garbage filter. There's always reports about shops not even changing the filter, just wiping it down so it looks new - don't take that risk.Normally an oil change is $40-ish, and with full synthetic it's closing in towards $70. I was able to completely drain my oil, and put this K&N filter with full Mobile 1 synthetic, for less than $35.It's only $5, but that adds up, AND it's a higher quality filter and higher quality oil, so the benefits are more than just the upfront cost.I know it's probably just confirmation bias, but my car felt smoother and faster too ;) Awesome filter, highly recommended!
