True to size or roomy true to size. Wonderful detailing, very comfy without leaving you sweltering. Not really sheer, about the same as a white handkerchief. Love it.

It's a lovely robe. The material weight is perfect for summer and it's also well made. However, the material is slightly translucent, making the pockets visible. Additionally, the cut of this fabric is not ideal for someone who is over 5'5". I'm 5'8 and found the sleeves to be short and the length of the rib falls mid-calf. I probably wouldn't buy this again, but I'm satisfied.

Loved the look of this gown. It says it’s a robe but I will wear this lightweight cotton robe as a gown because it is so beautiful. It feels like an old-fashioned cotton sheet, freshly washed, dried on a clothesline, and lightly starched. Fresh out of the package it fits well. I’m 5’7” and 230 and a XXL fits perfectly with room in the arms, bust, and the full-flowing skirt that didn’t hit me anywhere but the tops of my feet. I don’t know why I thought this was flannel but I’m so glad it isn’t. It’s the perfect weight for spring, summer, fall, and even southern winters with some fuzzy socks. Sometimes you just want to feel like a girl, and this gown makes me feel like that. I sew and I’m picky about how something is made and this one passes my test. I will probably hand wash it to keep the fabric as fresh as it feels new. If I was rich, I’d buy a second one, but this splurge was worth it.

This is a lovely nightgown and true to size. It is full length, soft and comfortable and generous as to sleeve size and length; actually superior to other more expensive name brand gowns. Before writing a review, I wanted to evaluate after laundering (in warm, not hot water) as so many cotton products suffer from shrinkage. There was no shrinkage what so ever. I would not hesitate purchasing from this company again.

I'm 214 lbs and got a 3X It is SO beautiful and roomy. Falls to the floor! 3/4 sleeve length with attention to every, little detail. It is expensive but well worth it. The collar is perfect and comfortable. The whole gown is buttery soft cotton. I'm getting one for my best friend next. The best purchase I've made at Amazon. I also purchased a summer gown from this seller which is why I ordered my winter gown from them. It also is very beautiful. Well worth the money!

I am so upset, I could spit nails!! First I didn't particularly like this gown because of the collar. It rides up on your neck and balls up against the pillow. Very annoying! But it is very pretty and looks good, so I kept it as a backup. When I picked up my nightgowns from the cleaners, I had an ugly surprise: This one was torn to shreds in the front!! The owner of the laundry, whom I have done business with for years, explained and showed me the problem. The ripped panel was of a completely different quality and thread count than the rest of the gown!! It might have been a mistake, or a deliberate attempt by the manufacturer to save some money, by introducing flimsy fabric here and there into a garment. Since my time for a return had expired, Amazon would do nothing about this matter at first, but since I would not let the matter rest, they finally, begrudgingly, offered me a $ 5.00 credit to my account and the phone number of the manufacturer. I own every one of the Victorian gowns in this line and regularly take them to the laundry, since it would take me hours to wash, starch and iron them to perfection, and I haven't had any problems with those yet. Had I known in advance that I was being defrauded in a rather sneaky way, I would never have bought another nightgown from this designer. I certainly will NOT in the future. I also feel that Amazon shouldn't have brushed me off, but investigated the issue further. As the distributor of these nightgowns, their good name is on the line, too.

These nightdresses are brilliant - well made of decent weight cotton and beautifully embellished. Packed in lovely little bags and rapid delivery. Excellent value. Would love to see winter ones in red flannelette.

It was small around the bust, but otherwise ok. Material was rather thin but great design and instead of a button front, a zipper would' have been more convenient especially for an 82 year old woman, although not criticising the garment other than, the American measurements do let you down, even with your UK/American equivalent chart online. Overall it was a very delicate and refined garment with plenty of detail, cotton!! and delicate but nice, away from man made materials.
