This was fun to put together and when I needed to contact the company I received prompt, courteous service.I love my new trash can and it blends in beautifully with my white kitchen.Two suggestions: put a pad in the bottom so anything heavy tossed in the bag does not make a loud bang, and to avoid the same noise with the top closing you should put one of those rubber/silicone? dots on the underside of the lid.Great customer friendly company!!

When it comes to tipping over trash cans, my dog is a ninja. The first time we left her home alone with my newly assembled Home-Like Kitchen Trash Can with Lid all she managed to do was push it around the kitchen. No tipping. She's lost interest since.It looks decent and the contraption for holding the bag in place works well. A little padding under the lid would be nice. It's easy to let the lid slip sometimes resulting in a BANG. A no-slam hinge would be ideal. But I'm just nitpicking.

Wanted a trash can for the kitchen that my dogs couldn't get into. It's not too difficult to put together. This is very durable and looks nice in the kitchen. At first I wasn't aware that you could put trash bags directly inside which is a cool feature along with the metal ring that holds the bag in place.

I had to get something that fully kept the trash bag inside because my cats have a tendency to chew any plastic they can find, even if it's just around the top lip of a trash barrel. This not only does that but it matched my kitchen decor and doesn't really look like a nasty trash bin. The lid has a little notch that I use to open it more than the handle, especially if my hands are dirty. The lid also helps to keep the stink contained. And now the cats don't get into the trash or the plastic bag.

So glad I made this purchase. My dog is a trash queen and would make the biggest messes with our lockable-lid plastic step trash can. She’d just pull the lid until it came off, even if that meant the trash and it’s juices were pulled throughout the house. This came with all the pieces and was easy to assemble (I’ve put together lots of ikea furniture though, so that prepared me for this). It is cute and so far has kept my trash queen out. When the bag is full, it makes a little mess at the top if using the metal bag holder, but you could get a small trash can to fit inside the would solve that.

This product is sturdy. Looks great in my kitchen. I bought 2 white with "oak"looking trim. They go together easy enough. The hinges are probably going to strip after about a weeks use. Any composite type wood will do this this with repeated use. I will end up re doing the hinges. Also one of the cams did not fit properly causing a puckering on the front oak trim piece. The wire that secures the bag works great. The bag does NOT slip :) I love that the lid can be left open when performing multiple kitchen cleaning tasks.

I never thought I’d be reviewing a garbage can but here I am. I love this can. It’s modern and fits snugly into my space. I wanted something white and a fan that didn’t scream “garbage can!” I feel like this does just that! The lid is a bit heavy and makes a loud slamming noise so we put felt on the edges to soften the noise.
