Awesome
Great at a fraction of the cost of the big names.I’ve been packing for over 45 years so I have some experience.Stand over 3lbs and packs down to 12”x5”. The poles at 15”. I really like all the room inside for the days when you may be stuck inside. The back wall is Mesh with a zipper at the bottom. You see the back wall is two layers. The rain fly pulls away from the inner wall leaving a mesh wall. This is awesome. You get so much more ventilation that way. The front wall is the same. Great feature.Yup I like this tent.

Disappointing due to defects, design flaws, and inattention to detail, but overall a great tent.
Disappointing due to defects, design flaws, and inattention to detail, but overall a great tent - I will keep it and use it.I wanted a light tent that's big enough for one person and gear, that's quick to setup and take down, and that will shelter me from the elements for some motorcycle camping. This tent does do all of the above.Likes:-tent is actually tapered; it tapers from ~51" to ~41" in width. This listing (before it 'disappeared') and one listing I've found on AE (as of this writing) actually list it as tapered; every other listing I've seen makes it appear to be ~41" width for the whole length of the tent.-is fantastic in heavy winds-is fantastic in heavy rains (mostly; hanger loop)-is really quick to setup and take down (mostly; footprint color-coding reversed)Dislikes:-it seems like the first batch of VIK2s all have defective footprints where the color-coding is reverse of the color-coding on the tent and poles. Wide poles/tent: orange; footprint: black. Narrow poles/tent: black; footprint: orange.-pockets are on the wrong end of the tent (they're on the narrow/low end instead of the wider/higher end)-lantern loop becomes saturated (from the outside) in rain and drips, with or without a lantern hanging from it.-one 'fly' door did not come with the cord end hook to hold it back/open. I took the one from my VIK1.Nitpick:-the VIK1 uses a brilliant toggle and loop setup for holding back the rolled-up door - the toggle is a bungie cord lock. The VIK2 went back to using a standard toggle and loop setup.(I've seen many reviews that mention the defective footprint and missing cord end hook on FB and AE)The VIK2 has been surprisingly amazing in windy conditions (with and without guy-outs) and rainy conditions (minus the 'leaky lantern loop'; hopefully seam-sealing the outside of the loop area will fix it). The defective/incorrectly color-coded footprint is an inconvenience. The pockets on the wrong end of the tent is a complete PITA. The VIK2 is light, and it's super-quick to setup and takedown. I will use this for long trips (setup/takedown every day for a week or more) or trips with groups where setup/takedown speed comes in handy. If Naturehike were to fix all of the issues in my dislikes list and release a VIK2.1, I would most likely purchase one - the VIK2 ~could easily have been the perfect tent.

NOT waterproof
I took this out on its first backpacking trip this weekend and found out that it has a huge problem that just won’t work for me: it is NOT waterproof. At the most basic level, tents are required to protect you from the elements and bugs. The size of this tent, it’s bug netting, and some of its other features are cool (magnetic rainfly door clasps and the tent’s very light weight, for example), but it fails at doing the most basic job of a tent: keep you dry.I set up the tent in a meadow in the mountains at about 10,000 ft. There was no rain there for the entire afternoon and evening. No rain all night either. But when I woke up, the morning dew had collected on the tent walls, and the instant I touched the tent walls, the water came right through the wall and soaked me. It may not be a problem if this was a huge tent so that touching the walls while you slept was unlikely, but as a tiny 2-person tent (which is just barely big enough for me and my partner to snuggle in), I touched the walls a LOT, so everything inside the tent was wet.Super disappointed. I returned it today.

Better than I thought
I was a but skeptical at first but this has been an ideal tent. It's easy to set up, very light, and has simple but functional features for backpacking. This is NOT a tent for leisure. I am 5'7" and I have plenty of space to stretch out fully.

Favorite tent w/ snow skirt
I’ve used this tent for maybe 50 nights. For the price, it’s the best and lightest tent in its class.I’ve been stuck in a 24 hour freezing rain storms, stayed dry. Been in 10 degree weather, was cold but fine. Rain, snow, wind, glacier, forest. Can have condensation in the warm, but you can use the vestibule to funnel air.Only downside is the tent’s vestibules can act like a sail and be beaten by the wind. I like snow camping, so I bury the snow skirt. In high winds without snow, the tent can fills up with fine dust and will be beaten pretty bad.All and all, an almost perfect tent.If you’re camping sub-alpine, the two person is the way to go. If your soloing above tree line in the snow, the snow skirt.

Great! Bike friendly.
Great! Better than expected. Room for 2 or single with bike (wheels removed) so that it is safe and dry. Very light. A breeze to mount. Seems high quality. Highly recommended.

Raining condensation in the tent!
Do not buy this tent if you are worried about condensation! It’s a single walled tent, and the amount of condensation that builds up is absolutely brutal. When I got up in the morning, I couldn’t believe my eyes. If I had my phone, I would have taken a picture. Anytime I moved around, the condensation would just fall all over me and my gear. The vents did absolutely nothing. Great design, I give them that, but it’s just not usable in humid climates. I will be returning it.

Worst condensation I have ever experienced! Was soaked when I woke up!
I did like how light weight this tent was. However I have never experienced such bad condensation…I have done a lot of camping and this was by far the worst tent for condensation…..my daughter and I woke up soaked.

No rain fly
The Amazon product description, in 3 places, said that this product includes a rain fly. When I got it, no rain fly. I checked with the manufacturer and they confirmed that the product does NOT come with a rain fly. Bad advertising. I sent it back because I wanted a rain fly.
