Great for dry, sensitive, mature skin in cold weather – lightweight and non-irritating!
I’ve been using the Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream for several weeks, and it’s perfect for my needs here in very cold weather. My skin is dry, sensitive, and mature, and this cream keeps my face deeply hydrated all day and night without any heavy or greasy feel. It absorbs quickly, leaving my skin soft, plump, and comfortable—no tightness or flakiness. Best part: zero irritation! No redness, stinging, or breakouts at all, even on my sensitive skin. Just a little cream goes a long way, so the jar lasts well. It’s gentle, effective, and has been a real lifesaver in freezing temps. Highly recommend this luxurious Korean moisturizer if you want lasting hydration without weighing your skin down. Fantastic product! 5 ⭐️ 😍

Best Moisturizer
This face moisturizer is absolutely amazing. I first discovered it while I was in Denmark and decided to try it, and I’m so glad I did. After just one use my skin felt incredibly soft, smooth, and deeply moisturized. It really gives that healthy, hydrated glow without feeling heavy on the skin. Since coming back home, I’ve continued using it and I’m already on my third bottle. That says everything! It keeps my skin feeling nourished, fresh, and comfortable throughout the day. If you’re looking for a moisturizer that truly makes a difference and leaves your skin feeling silky soft, this one is definitely worth trying. Highly recommend! ✨

The best Moisturizer ever.
My acne spots and the pores were disappeared after using it for a week. And i am noticing a glassy glow as well after using consistently using it for 4 weeks. Best moisturizer. No stickiness at all. Ease of application is so good.

Hydration with a lightweight feel
I am Caucasian with thin sensitive dry skin. This moisturizer is very hydrating and does not irritate my skin at all. My skin absorbs it fully and it does lot leave a sticky residue. I like to use this as a summer moisturizer- it’s not super thick, so I would want something thicker for winter dryness. I would highly recommend this for someone with very sensitive skin like me!

You will not regret this buy
I literally hope they never get rid of this moisturizer. I have bought so many expensive creams and lotions for my face and have never been able to find one that works as good as this. I break out super easy and my skin is super sensitive and no matter what I use there’s always some sort of problem. This is the only thing that moisturize is my skin perfectly, it’s not greasy whatsoever, it’s super light, but still super moisturizing and feels super cooling.

Best moisturizer I’ve tried
I have really oily skin and purchased this to add to my night time skin care routine and it is amazing. I add it after the glow deep serum and it felt so good on my skin, no smell, not sticky. Woke up and my face just looked moisturized and not greasy at all.

Lightweight and Hydrating
Lowkey might have to buy another one.. My skin clears up nicely after like a couple days, but you have to make sure your hands are clean before applying so that you're not absorbing germs into your skin, and make sure to keep smoothing it into your skin until it's only lightly damp because then I get pilling if its not blended in properly. I also think you should cleanse the face so it has something to absorb into (I miss this step sometimes but I havent had any priblems) and I apply the sunscreen from this brand after (which is also really good but if not smoothed in good it will pill). I have a very shiny face and my sister once said to stop wearing makeup when I sleep (I just woke up) and I told her I'm not wearing makeup, and she said your face is just smooth and shiny so she assumed I did. I get compliments and I'm going to buy again!

The Moisturizer That Made Me Understand Why People Spend Rent Money on La Mer
If I’m being honest, I bought Beauty of Joseon’s Dynasty Cream during a phase where my skin felt like it needed emotional support more than a moisturizer. I wasn’t sleeping enough. I was overusing exfoliants. My barrier was holding on by a single corneocyte. Everything I put on my face either burned, pilled, or evaporated into the air like it had somewhere better to be. And because I’m stubborn, I didn’t want a “basic moisturizer.” I wanted a cream with presence — something with that La Mer energy: rich, soothing, buttery, indulgent, and borderline spiritual… without the price tag that makes you reevaluate your life decisions. Enter Dynasty Cream. Let’s start at the beginning. ⸻ The Texture That Honestly Should Not Be This Good for the Price When I first squeezed it out of the tube, I literally paused. This isn’t lotion. This isn’t gel-cream. This isn’t the fluffy, whipped stuff that disappears into nothing. This is butter — not the greasy kind, not the heavy kind, not the “my face feels coated” kind. This is the skincare equivalent of a well-made pastry cream. Dense enough to feel luxurious, soft enough to melt instantly when it hits warmth, and balanced enough to glide without leaving a film. It has that La Mer moment: you touch it and immediately know you’re dealing with a different texture category. And then it sinks in. Not like gel. Not like ceramide balms. Not like oily creams. It sinks in like your skin… accepts it. Like it was waiting. ⸻ The Absorption Phase (a.k.a. The Moment I Realized This Was Serious) There’s a very specific sensation that only truly well-formulated creams give you: • first contact = cushiony • mid-application = slip without oil • final finish = soft-focus, hydrated, plump Dynasty Cream nails that trifecta. My favorite part? It doesn’t sit on top of your skin pretending to moisturize you. It doesn’t suffocate your pores. And it doesn’t evaporate in 20 minutes leaving you with that “did I even apply anything?” confusion. Instead, you get this slow, steady calming effect — the kind where your skin tone looks more even within minutes, like someone pressed the “reduce redness” button. It’s not dewy. It’s not matte. It’s satiny — the finish every moisturizer tries to claim but almost none achieve. ⸻ The Formula (explained like a normal human, not a brochure) This thing is an ingredient cocktail that honestly looks like it was built by someone who actually understands barrier science: • Ginseng extract → deep hydration + glow • Rice bran water → softening, brightening • Ceramides + cholesterol + fatty acids → barrier repair (the holy trinity) • Niacinamide → tone smoothing + barrier strength • Squalane → lightweight moisture without greasiness This is the formula category where Western moisturizers start charging $80+ and throwing in lavender oil for no reason. Dynasty Cream keeps the formula clean and purposeful, which is why it works across skin types without chaos. ⸻ How It Performs on Different Skin States (the real test) On dehydrated skin: Melts in like a hydration IV drip. Plumps without heaviness. No tightness afterward. On irritated, over-exfoliated skin: Immediate soothing. Redness visibly calms. Zero stinging (rare for anything with niacinamide). On oily skin: Shockingly balanced. Gives moisture without that suffocating humidity feeling. No grease film, no clogged pores. On combination skin: Checks every box. Dry patches disappear; oily zones don’t rebel. Under sunscreen: Doesn’t pill — which is actually insane considering how buttery it is. At night: Becomes a true recovery cream. You wake up looking moisturized, not marinated. ⸻ The 3-Week Arc (because this needed a longitudinal assessment) Week 1: My skin stopped protesting my existence. Texture softened. Dryness disappeared. No breakouts. Week 2: Glow increased. Tone evened. Everything I put on top absorbed better. Week 3: I realized I hadn’t reached for my thicker nighttime creams. This replaced all of them. This is the hallmark of a great moisturizer: you stop thinking about your skin because it feels… normal. Healthy. Quiet. ⸻ What I Liked (a lot) • It feels like luxury skincare without the luxury tax. • The finish is unreal — hydrated but not shiny. • Plays well with actives and sunscreen. • Actually supports the barrier instead of irritating it. • A little goes a long way. • Never greasy, even hours later. • Calms redness within minutes. • No fragrance, no essential oils, no nonsense. ⸻ What I Didn’t Like • If you’re extremely oily, you may prefer it at night only. • The tube feels too small for something this good — 100ml goes fast. • The texture is so addictive you WILL overuse it the first week. ⸻ Who This Is For • People who want La Mer texture without La Mer lies • Sensitive skin needing calming + moisture • Dry skin needing nourishment without heaviness • Combo skin needing balance • Anyone overdoing tret, acids, or vitamin C • People whose skin currently looks tired, dull, uneven • Anyone chasing that “buttery soft” feeling without oiliness ⸻ Final Verdict: The Moisturizer That Feels Like a Hug Your Skin Actually Understands Dynasty Cream is not flashy. It’s not scented. It’s not trendy. And it doesn’t pretend to be “glass skin in a jar.” What it is… is dependable. Luxurious without trying. Rich without heaviness. Softening without grease. A true barrier-supporting cream that punches way above its price. If La Mer is the overpriced fantasy, Dynasty Cream is the functional reality — the version that respects your skin and your wallet. This isn’t just a moisturizer. This is a baseline setter — the product that becomes the anchor of your entire routine because everything else works better when it’s there. I will absolutely repurchase this. My face has already made that decision for me.

Love this moisturiser. Really worth the money because it is so silky and sticks for a long time. Some moisturisers are really hard to apply and dry but this one is hydrating.

I purchased Dynasty Cream after seeing a lot of how about it on the Internet from both beauty influences and cosmetic scientists. I have very fair, dry and quite reactive skin. I have had allergic reactions from brands like Simple, Boots Botanics and Olay in the past. I'm not sure what ingredients I am allergic but I was pleased to see that Dynasty Cream had no fragrances or alcohol in. I have been using it for a couple of weeks after cleansing with Cetaphil Hydrating Cream to Foam Wash and I have had no adverse reactions. The cream itself it's a really nice luxurious texture which spreads easily and absorbs fast without leaving my skin sticky. There is barely any smell (maybe a very faint buttery smell) and once applied it makes my skin feel hydrated but also firmer. It gives my skin a soft dewy glow for a long time after applying. The packaging is beautiful and thoughtful - it comes in a glass tub with a spatula and is wrapped in pretty paper and then boxed. It's like unwrapping a lovely little present! I would highly recommend it for dry and sensitive skin but just check the ingredients list if you're not sure about allergies. The niacinamide and squalane as well as the ginseng water seem to agree with me personally, leaving my skin soft, supple and firmed (but not tight). I think this is going to be my go-to moisturiser from now on and it is worth every penny!
