Nice addition to a sunny garden.
Nice little fountain for a sunny site. A bit short on directions. If it has trouble starting up again after cleaning shake it from side to side quite hard. Works great. Prolong life by using rain water or distilled or reverse osmosis water. Sounds pretty.

Only Works in Full Sunlight - But when it works it's great!
The media could not be loaded. I didn't realize that, being a solar fountain, this would not work at all unless it was in full sunlight. I thought maybe it would work less, or be smaller in height when it was cloudy. NOPE. When the sun is out all the way, it works GREAT. But if it's overcast, nothing. I have it in a small pond and have noticed that when it's partly cloudy, it works intermittently and spooks the birds as it suddenly starts and then stops. I plan to keep it, since I want something to disturb the surface of the water so insects won't lay eggs. It comes with a set of plastic straw-like leg attachments to keep it from bumping up against the edge of the pond. I stuck one of the legs between two rocks to hold it in place, since it always seems to drift to a spot where there's a shadow, and then it stops working. I may attach a little anchor to keep it more centered. It's great, just be aware it ONLY works in full sunlight!

GREAT SO FAR!
The instructions are clear and easy to follow. As soon as I put the fountain together and walked with it into the sun, it automatically turned on and I could feel it vibrating. When I placed it in my birdbath, which is under an orange tree and mostly shaded, it began to spout water about six or seven inches into the air approximately once every two and-a-half seconds. So far, it is working well given the partial sunlight. IN FULL SUNLIGHT, WATER WILL CONTINUALLY SPOUT UP AT LEAST TWO FEET HIGH WITHOUT INTERRUPTION. The only question is how long will it last. I rinse and refill my birdbath daily so clogging should be minimal. So far, it IS definitely worth the money. As others have said, the more direct the sunlight, the better.

Worked great for a little bit
I ordered 2 of these for both my bird baths about 6 weeks ago. One of them stopped working last week, the other one is working fine still. I have been taking them out every couple days and giving them a rinse with the hose to flush out any leaves or pine needles that may have gotten stuck in the bottom. They only work in direct sunlight. They don’t store solar energy. So if it’s overcast it won’t run.I like that it came with straws to place on the sides to keep it away from the edge of the bird bath. Without them they would float close to the edge and just shoot the water out of the bird bath. Even with the straws, if there is a strong breeze the water will blow right over the edge of the bath. I used it without any of the nozzles to avoid this because after about 15 minutes on a breezy day the bird bath was almost completely empty. Without a nozzle it’s a gentle little fountain, just enough to keep the water moving.

Lasted only 70 days before failure
This worked well for 2 1/2 months then stopped pumping. I cleaned the filter weekly but suspect that between the water running low (the fountain sprays outside the bowl with any wind) and algae clogging the filter, it over-taxed the motor. Although this has six spray configurations, I found it best to leave them off and just let the water bubble. That kept it from drifting outside the perimeter of the birdbath.I'm sure that all of these are made by the same company so the vendor is insignificant in the failure of the product. I liked it when it was working and it doesn't cost a lot. I didn't see a fountain that appeared to have different mechanicals for a similar price, so I immediately ordered a 3.5 watt (this was 2 watt) version of the same fountain. Hopefully, it will last longer.
