Durable and Perfect for the Beach
We’ve been using the UMARDOO Family Beach Tent Canopy for years, and it’s held up amazingly well. The 10×10FT size is great for our family, and it offers excellent sun protection. It’s very sturdy and has withstood both wind and sun without any issues. Easy to set up and take down, and it’s held up through countless beach trips. Highly recommend if you want a reliable, long-lasting beach tent!

Surprise 5 star Review
Honestly, I'm a little surprised to be giving a 5 star review for this family beach tent. It's super light weight. The material feels like a soft jersey fabric--the only thing I can compare it to. It's not the parachute type fabric or tent fabric, but an actual soft fabric, lightweight and easy to repack. the poles are aluminum and pack away in sections with a black ball-thingie on top. All I can say, of all the options out there for beach pop-ups, covers, tents, whatever, this is in a class by itself. And at first, I was not pleased at all. On day one of our 3 day trip, I sent my 2 grown kids on ahead to set up with no directions and no idea what this was supposed to look like. They sent the first picture as proof of shade because granny don't tan. As you can see, they put the poles closer to the corners, not as pictured above. When I got to our site, no kidding, I was kissing my $119 goodbye because no way was that flappy thing staying put for 10 minutes, much less 3 full beach days, especially with the wind conditions (non-stop, crazy wind with no-swim warnings everywhere the whole trip.) Smartie pants children assured me this was a great design and held up by tension and the wind was *helping* and, btw, they knew how to set up a tarp to catch the breeze thanks Mom. (I will admit to googling the brands of pop-up shelters nearby and trying to figure if we could get delivery at the beachhouse.) For three days, I sat under this beach tent and never really got used to all that flapping but I *did* learn to trust the design. One pole slipped on the first day but it was back in place in less than a minute and nothing ever fell again. We did learn that it helps to shovel away the loose sand and make a small divot or hole in the hard packed sand for the poles to sit in. Nothing deep, just an inch or so. After that, the poles didn't move. The bungie cords keep the material tight to the poles at the top and never loosened or flew off. We didn't bury the sandbags as suggested by other reviewers. We also filled ours with loose dry sand that was super lightweight. I'm thinking we could have wet the sand down inside the bags if needed but it never was so we didn't. Every night, the kids took the tent down and toted it back to the house. Super easy and quick. They threw it in the wagon until the last take-down when it went back in the bag. It's in just as good a shape as it was when we got there and that is saying something. The same cannot be said for all those other tents and popups around us. I saw quite a few crumbling by that third day. I'm very surprised. And pleased. And still surprised. We had plenty of shade/room for 5 adults and 2 littles. Most of the time, we had three adults and had plenty of space for a blow up lounger and a couple of lawn chairs under the 10x9. It was nice and cool with all that flapping and wind-blowing. That's a 79"x83" sandproof blanket on the ground for reference. You can see there's lots of shade all around and plenty of sandy play space. This tent made our trip. And that's really saying something.

It's big!
I really like this canopy. Setting it up is not bad. You really do need the sand screws (sold separately), though. I was surprised how well this held up in the wind. Other umbrellas and tent-things were flying all over the beach, but this was rock solid. The only drawback is how far out the sand bags are. If you are on a crowded beach, you are not going to make many friends with the amount of space you take up. And those bags and ropes make a heck of a tripping hazard, especially for kids. To consolidate a little, I wrapped the sandbag ropes around the top posts a bunch of times and was able to bring the bags in closer to the canopy. This didn't seem to reduce it's wind handling ability. You could probably also shorten the ropes with some knots, but I didn't try that.

I've named this tent 'Saggy'.
Hello- Please do not buy this item because you will regret it. Here's why: 1. The cords are too long and therefore the 10' x 10' tent takes up a footprint of about 20' x 20'. 2. The material is WAY too stretchy and it makes it impossible to setup/stay up in wind/breeze. 3. I had to buy extra spiral stakes for the poles to rest in, otherwise the poles fall over. 4. The bag tears easily. Summary: I have used this in 3 beach trips now. It's been frustrating every trip. I will not take it home. I have been observing other beach tents. The Neso looks slightly better but I'm looking at one now and it's saggy. I plan to order a Sun Ninja. It has a thicker fabric and handles the wind. I don't understand why Amazon has labled it as 'Amazon's Choice'. I hope this helps you.
