I got this item to use for PT at home. My physical therapist uses them for me when I'm there at the office. I brought them in, like any PT item you buy for yourself, and she approved them. These are actually better than the ones I used during PT. They make sounds when you use them and I like that. Kinda of like a low wind chime is the best I can describe it. This set is for big hands, like large size hands. If you have small, petite hands get the smaller size(s). The color and design was a perk, I only got them because they were cheaper that I seen. I only got them for functionality which they do a good job. Pro(s): Makes sounds in use. Recommend for large hands. Good for PT with small motor movement. Nice design and color. Good fidget item. I just finished occupational therapy and purchased these to mimic what I used in therapy. They are pretty and seem ok, but it happens that Bao balls come in different sizes and weights. These are much lighter and smaller than the ones I used in therapy. They showed up when expected, make a pretty sound, but paint finish probably won't last as long as the plain stainless steel balls.

The box is not worth it. But let’s be honest I didn’t buy it for its packaging. I bought them to help improve my hand dexterity and strength. This size 1.5 is great for those who have small hands. I had a hard time finding this small of size that still had the bells in them. They are light… again perfect for those with small hands. I think they are made well. Be careful with them and don’t use them over a hard floor. I like to use mine while still in bed so that if dropped they have a soft land. Good to use during meditation 🧘🏻‍♀️ as well.

I lost a finger on one hand and use these as part of my rehab. The larger size is impossible to use with that hand but these are perfect. I enjoy the sound, look and feel of these ones.

I only ordered the cloisonné set for the chimes, which I find soothing. I got a chrome finish set for which read the reviews, a couple of which complimented the chimes, however the ones I was sent had a clunk-clack that sounded more like rolling dice than chimes. After reading more than just a couple of reviews with mention of the chimes I decided to take a chance on the cloisonné. I’m happy with the chimes, I still think the cloisonné on all the sets I have seen on Amazon is crudely rendered with ugly simplistic designs that show none of the beauty produced in good cloisonné, and that applies to the cloisonné on the set for which I am writing this review. I knew going into the purchase that I don’t care for the available styles of cloisonné baoding balls on Amazon, I don’t have to look at them to use them nor to enjoy the chimes. If I want a visual while using them I can set the chimes failed baoding balls nearby as I use this pair, which is mission accomplished for the chimes, about which I care a lot more. I have one complaint regarding the item which is the fault of the seller and could have been easily avoided. The cloth covered paper box, the fragility of which many reviews of baoding complain isn’t a problem for me, the fact that the seller shipped it with a section of packaging tape wrapped from the back side of the top, over the top, down the front and across 1/2 inch of the bottom. Taping the box in this manner made it impossible to remove the tape without it tearing the fragile tissue paper which is the bottom outer layer of the box. It’s not reason to try to get it replaced, the box bottom is pretty much always out of sight, I just mention it because it shows a lack of respect to the customer to be so careless in packing the item for shipment.

After reading several negative reviews, I was hesitant to purchase these Chinese boading balls. I searched long and hard and couldn’t find anything with better reviews at this price, so I took a chance knowing I could return them if necessary. What a great relief when I opened the package. All 8 boxes I ordered came in good condition … yes, good enough to give as gifts! All the balls were the correct ones and in good condition. They are the perfect size for both my hands and my husband’s hands. I am so pleased! I would encourage you to take a chance. I’m glad I did!

These are great. Will probably have to get her a larger set soon
