Works well

It is not waterproof, It has holes under where the water con enter and cause corrosion. The LED light blinks.

Doesn’t fit well. You think this size would be easy since there are so many BMWs out there, but it is what it is. I used some adhesive and it’s not going anywhere, but it would be nice if it was secure as designed. One thing about this that is not obvious. The LED light is polarity sensitive. The analog bulb it replaces doesn’t care, but I wired this up and the light wasn’t working and I had to go back in and reverse the wires. The installation instructions on the sellers page are a joke but there are enough YouTube videos out there that you’ll figure it out. In the end, just remember you’re installing two things, a camera and a light. One other thing to consider I installed the camera closer to the center of the car in order to have the back up picture be more accurate. It’s still not in the center but I wish I had not done that because the light from the LED doesn’t really shine on the license plate anymore. It works, and the other light lights up the plate enough for identification, but I hate giving law-enforcement any excuse to pull me over.
