⚖️ Master your roll axis balance like a pro—because shaky footage is so last season.
The DJI R Roll Axis Counterweight Set is a precision accessory designed to stabilize camera rigs that can't be balanced directly on the roll axis, especially heavy setups like the Blackmagic Pocket 4K/6K with large lenses. Compatible with DJI RS 3, RS 2, and RSC 2 gimbals, it includes a tilt motor clamp and four counterweights (two 200g and two 100g) to fine-tune balance, ensuring smooth, professional-grade footage every time.

A perfect product, extremely overpriced
Running a BMPCC on the DJI RS2, this purchase was a necessity. It works perfectly and maintains a neat, professional rig but paying £75 for a clamp and some weights is no fun.

Professional look an almost ideal design.
The roll axis on the RS2 is a tricky beast. If DJI had thought to include a 1/4 20 hole on the tilt motor, this product probably wouldn't exist.Piling on extra weight on to the camera cage isn't that effective and besides you are limited as to how far you can take it without limiting the tilt axis, and upsetting the RS2 as it moves from green to orange or even red. Clamping weights on the arm is again not ideal. My digital scales has the weight holder at 71g the 200g weights at 155/157g and the 100g weights at about 70g or about 2.5 and 4.5 ounce. balancing can be done with a number of weights ie everything shifted as far right as possible a single small weight balanced my rig with the arm shifted over about a cm 1 larger weight. With the arm shifted over enough so it could pass over the pan arm took 2 large weights. with the holder thats just short of 350g on my scales or about 12.5 ozYou could use less weight by moving the focus motor to the right side instead of the left.why this not the competion, well because of where it sits on the gimbal it's not going to upset the balance of the tilt and pan axis. it lets you put the rs2 gimbal flat once you take of the camera and QR plate. You pretty much will only need to set the tilt axis so less time messing about. It's less stress and that probably is the best reason of all.
