Great tool
For years I have used bbq tongs to wrangle charcoal into place. This simple tool is so much easier. It is simple in design, seems sturdy, and I expect it will last for years.

Perfect for what it is.
It's a coal rake. It's designed for pushing, pulling, spreading, and gathering hot coals. It's about 21 inches long, which is a near-perfect length for using on just about any grill unless you're using some custom built enormous thing. The head's large enough to be effective but small enough to be quite mobile. It's one piece of stainless steel, with the handle portion being of a hollow design that helps mitigate the heat build up. If you find heat build up a problem you could easily put a wrap around the handle (even if it's just a bunch of duct tape); although if you find it a problem... you probably left it sitting in hot coals after use for some reason. The price, given that this will almost certainly be a one-time purchase, is extremely reasonable, and the product is very sturdy. I absolutely recommend this product if you own a charcoal grill. It could also be very useful if you own a small fire pit or wood burning stove and need to push the coals around. It also serves as a very good back scratcher...Don't judge me ;)

Great tool
Great tool for bbqing, easy to use to rake coals or move wood in the firebox. Handle is long enough to avoid the heat and made very sturdy.

Also works to move the hot grates around
This is perfect for moving around hot coals and cleaning up after the coals cool down. Nice size, happens to fit right under my grill. Bonus is that I can use it to reach into the grill grate to move them around while they're hot.

Good device but handle is scary
The product is solid but I was worried about cutting my hand on the handle as there is a gap like in the picture. I put duct tape around it to keep my hands safe, it should be fine with a glove.

Perfect for what it is designed to do, but a bit overkill of you dont rake your coals a lot.
The product works great for what it is designed. If you use a lot of charcoal or need to switch temperature zones while cooming, this is perfect. However, it is a bit much if you just pile the charcoal and do not need to rake the coals at all. I typically use two zone cooking and pile my coals from a chimney. This is great for getting the odd errant coal back to the pike, but that's the most I have used it for. I do not regret buying the rake but wish I had more of a use for it as it is very handy. Also, while this has not been a problem for me, I would imagine that if you leave the rake in the coals too long or have it rest against the grill that it may be too hot to handle as there is no insulated grip. So be sure to let it cool or use heat protective gloves.
