Hush Puppies Men's Belfast MT Oxford

My experience with this shoes is mixed. I have good experiences from the past wearing this brand. These shoes are normally comfortable and durable, good quality leather and good fit. The sole was made of a non-slippery material. But now, after ordering new Hush Puppies Men's Belfast MT Oxford shoes I am not sure that all of the above is true anymore. The shoes are made in Pakistan, Cambodia and ..other (unknown) places. Nothing wrong with that, but I see the quality of this shoes is also impacted. The leather is not (100%) what it use to be. Now, the leather feels foamy, is more like the leather is manufactured using a thin layer of authentic leather combined with some kind of synthetic material to add thickness. The size is also an issue here. I needed to reorder a larger and wider size in order to get a good fit. First, I ordered size 8W and fitted tight. Then I reordered 10W, still tight on the sides. I removed the insert included with the shoes for a more comfortable fit, but still it is not a perfect fit. The sole on these shoes is soft and may be OK, but I don't know at this time. Lucky, I can return it at no cost (within 30 days of purchase), since it sells as a Prime with Free Shipping for Prime Members & FREE Returns. These shoes are still a good choice for comfort, that's why I think it's OK. Not the elegant, shiny type though, but the casual comfortable walking shoes. Bought these to replace a pair of Timberland casual brown shoes I've worn to work for the past 6+ years, so they had a lot to live up to. I wear extra wide in a 13 or 14, depending on the brand. I ordered another pair of Hush Puppies shoes at the same time as these also in 13 XW. The other pair fit fine and were actually MUCH longer than I needed. The 13 XW in this show was fine as far as width goes, but my toes were crammed into the front of the shoe. Same brand, same size, completely different fit. So I exchanged for a 14 XW, which I am wearing as I type this. Perfect width, perfect length, very comfortable to wear all day and a nice look. Will be interesting to see how they hold up to scuffs and scratches, but for the price I paid I'm really happy with them now that I have the right size. As always, Amazon's return policy is quick, easy and painless.

Some other reviews mention these shoes being pretty narrow but since I don't normally wear wide width shoes, I ordered the standard width. They are a little narrower than I expected but not uncomfortably so and since I have worn them a few times, they have only gotten better by breaking them in. They also come with an insert that you can take out to give your foot a little more room which helped a lot as well. Overall, if you are concerned about the sizing, go to a local shoe store, have your foot measured by somebody who knows what they are doing to make sure you know your shoe size before ordering.

I have had Hush Puppy shoes in the past and they were made well, extremely comfortable and looked right for the type of outfit. I saw these on line and they looked like another pair I had so I purchased them. They are priced well for a leather shoe, look to be made well but are sized small. They are tight and a wide width would be more comfortable. The reason for a medium rating was because of the size and the overall shoe seems small. The original hush puppy's I have look more chunky, fit much more loosely for the same size and have a slightly nicer leather for about the same price. These seem to be made smaller with less material. Not as nice a shoe as my two year old ones.

On my feet this shoe is more snug than other 11.5's. It has an insert you can remove to give you more room so Im removing it and sacrificing some bottom cushion for a less tight fit. Im keeping the shoes but its only because I don't want to wait on a bigger size. I will order a half size larger next time. The shoes look great and seem to be made of quality materials

Nice shoe, besides the bottoms are very slippy especially on slick tile or wet surfaces.** UPDATE** After less than 6 months of daily wear the side wall completely separated from the sole on both shoes, It may look like a stitch is holding the sides to the sole but it is just for looks and is not a real stitch I was told by the shoe repair store. Granted I bent and am on my knees semi-often so I am somewhat tough on shoes. He also made the comment of Hush puppies quality has gone down the drain since they moved everything to China.

These shoes have been very good so far. They seem to be wearing well and the fit fine. My feet can get a little tired toward the end of the day, but they are way better than the last several pairs of shoes that I have had over the years. I've not had as good a feeling pair of shoes since the days when Cabelas had killer Oxfords that looked similar to this.

they are not the same shoe that they were 3 years ago, they are made in a different country the size that I bought 3 years ago didn't fit on my feet at all. When I returned and got a full size higher, they fit on my feet now but not the same shape as before. I don't have to return them this time though. I just have to break them in. I think they are still good quality otherwise.

I have problems finding shoes that are comfortable, sensible and supportive.These were a good fit. They were comfortable from the first time I put them on. They are supportive, very important for me, and seem to be well made. The uppers are supple and the 5 eyelet each side fastening provided a snug fit.These seem excellent for walking my dog and if they are as hard wearing as I'm led to believe then they will be an excellent buy.My one and only reservation is that they do not provide as much grip as some other shoes I've tried.

Quality of leather is good and they do look nice, however, they are definitely not wide fitting. Tried them first with both insoles in and they were far too tight so removed the blue inner sole but still a bit tight so decided to remove the upper insole and replace it with the blue insole. Thought it felt okay, however,after walking for approximately 1 hour the left shoe began to hurt the widest part of my foot which caused a lump to form. I am persevering walking with them on and believe that they may be stretching which I think my be due to the good quality of leather.

I have had these shoes for a couple of months now, they are extremely comfortable and light but sturdy. They come with an insole which can be removed for a wider fit. This is my 4th pair of Hush Puppies and I have never had an issue with any of them

Perfect fit. Took out the insole bit. Look good, easy to walk in and feel high quality. Good value for money. Interestingly, I used the insoles in another pair of shoes which felt too big!
