SC-001W Secure Connect - White-Pack of 4

I purchased this to be used as a way to prevent my 80 year old mother-in-law from unplugging her heating/AC unit. She has dementia and doesn't understand electronics any longer. The fan blowing air upsets her so she unplugs the entire unit from the wall. In the summer we would go visit her apartment where the temp was as high as 88F. Now in the winter it has been in the low 60s. I was skeptical that these would be strong enough and that the plastic would just break with enough force. So far so good.I drilled a small hole through the arms on each side and put a screw in each to prevent her from releasing the ratcheting arms. I also trimmed the arms off to eliminate the unnecessary extra length. In 2 weeks time, she has managed to release the center latches and get the whole thing off so I will need to put a screw through there as well. Overall, it has mostly foiled her and has not snapped into pieces.

Color

I've been looking for a good way to keep my Hifi audio mains power cable secure and tight in the receptacle. This design works but. My power cable is MUCH larger diameter than the hole in the unit. Had to modify it somewhat to get it to work. And, I only wanted one, not three.
