Family nerf war just got better
As a family we have wars and this gun makes it even funner now. You can NOT own to many nerf guns. We are really happy with this purchase. Great price. Fast shipping. Item was as described by seller. I rely on other Amazon reviews to determine how I spend my hard-earned money. If a product deserves one star I will give it one star. If product is exceptional I will give it 5 stars. I hope you found this review helpful. If you did find this review helpful please click yes or on your mobile device click helpful. Thank you and have a great day! The Way I give out my star ratings is: 1 STAR - I hate it. I would not recommend it, and will most likely return it. 2 STARS - It has some serious issues but I don't really like it or it's quality. I may or may not return it but I will not recommend it. 3 STARS - It is OK. Some good, some bad or just regular and nothing special about it. I probably will keep it and might or might not recommend it, depending on the person's needs. 4 STARS - I like it. I think it has some really good qualities, it may or may not have a minor tweak that I would think would make it better but over all i do like it, and I would recommend it to friends and family members. 5 STARS - I LOVE it. I do not give 5 stars unless I really think it is an exceptional product.

Perfect!
This is the best nerf blaster! we got 4 of them (one for each kid, and parent) . They take the elite darts. which are easy to find. Everyone got to decorate their nerf blaster with sharpie markers so there would be no arguing over which one belonged to who, and it was really fun to decorate them. We keep them close buy and occasionally full on nerf war breaks out! The kids like to bombard us in the morning coming out of our bedroom. It leads to us all running around the house diving for cover. running out trying to pick up spent darts to reload. These are moments the kids are going to remember. This blaster is easy to load. easy to use. and very reliable. It also gets pretty good distance!

What an improvement!
If you want a Nerf hand gun, nothing beats the Strongarm from the new Nerf Elite line. This 2012/13 update to the venerable Maverick ( Nerf N-Strike Maverick - Colors May Vary ), build to a much tighter tolerance, the Strongarm improved on almost every aspect that matters. To start, the gun's new orange white blue color scheme is much more striking than the solid yellow or the solid blue scheme the Maverick had. The seams / gaps are smaller, and the two halves of the gun align much better than before. I had to use a dremel to sand out the rough spots on the Maverick (the misalignment was cutting into my palm), didn't have that problem with the Strongarm. The plunger system is redesigned, and it offers a much better seal upon trigger pull, which translates to a more powerful shot. The Strongarm feels like its twice as powerful as the Maverick, and indeed the darts fly out much further (50ft vs 30ft). One of the best attribute of the old Maverick was its accuracy, and the Strongarm retained that aspect. Add the Slam Fire ability (you can hold down the trigger and each cocking of the gun will send out a dart, allowing for chain fire) to the mix, its just piling on. The cylinder of the Strongarm revolver (where you load the bullets) now comes out all the way to facilitate easier reload. In comparison, the Maverick had to be modified to allow for the same ease of use. Granted that mod was one of the easiest out there, but still, it was a hassle. Also the Maverick had six air restrictors build into the cylinder (one for each chamber), where as Strongarm combined it into one and moved it into the body of the gun. This makes modding a bit more trickier, since its harder to get to the AR. On the flip side, you only have to mod 1 AR as oppose to 6, so that's basically a wash. The timing of the cylinder spin has also changed, and this reduced jamming on a gun that didn't jam much to begin with. The Strongarm also has a redesigned cut out on the right hand side of the barrel to allow jammed rounds to rotate out. Over all, jamming is never a problem. The one problem I had with the Strongarm is its overall dimension. The gun is actually about an inch and a half longer than the Maverick, but somehow the grip is only about 3/4 the size, with a sizable portion cut out to accommodate a useless lanyard loop. If you are a child with small hands the grip will work for you but the gun will be front heavy and you'll need to grip it with two hands. And if you are an adult, that grip is going to be just a tad too small for your hands. Pros: Good Accuracy Great Range Easier Reload (compare to a stock Maverick) No Jams Slam Fire Priming Indicator Better build quality Cheaper than Maverick Better Color Scheme Cons: Weirdly sized grip Worse overall balance due to the smaller grip All in all, if you need a nerf handgun, the Strongarm is the one to get. The two cons are basically nitpicking and does not detract from its many positive attributes. If you've never played with nerf, the Strongarm is also a very good introduction. At only 13 bucks, there's no reason to not try it.

B+ Item
Accuracy: Just as good as the original Modulus! It is very accurate! Now with wind or 3rd party darts might change it but from my test they are almost always straight on the target only a two went out of the way about a foot which is not bad for a nerf gun. It does not go as far as say the roughcut but it is still a great pistol. Note that when using slam fire the accuracy is not as good. Appearance: Very bad a** looking pistol. Might be a bit too big for a holster but I do not own one so I am unsure. The paint however looks like the gun was used rather than New. Not a huge issue but still demotes the product a little. Feel: Trigger and grip feels great however the slide does have a few ridges that poke your hand especially when using slam fire. But that is an easy fix with some 150 sand paper. Fire Rate: It has a great fire rate with slam fire. And using single shot is still great. Reloading is much easier because this unique cylinder comes all the way out for quicker reloads and the fact that the cylinder moves after the piston fires the dart makes it never jam and always be perfectly alined. Assuming you use name brand darts. Over all I rate this a 4 star because the paint was not very clean (kids would not notice), and the slider was not as comfortable as it could have been. I give this item a B+ especially for a pistol it is very nice. The Zombiestrike Hammershot is just as good and unique!

One of the best Nerf guns out there.
I started collecting Nerf guns a few years ago because they are cheaper than regular guns and I can actually shoot my family with them without spending the next 20 years in the Huntsville state correctional facility. I was a little skeptical about this blaster when I ordered it, something about the overall look of it. But, I was proven wrong very quickly. This is definitely one of the best Nerf guns I own. The distance and accuracy of this gun are top notch, it shoots almost as far as my modded Longstrike, which is really saying something. It takes the newer CS darts but you can also fire the older style suction darts for the Maverick. Which is awesome when I stick them to someones forehead or their glasses. Very occasionally the suction darts won't fire from the gun. Not sure why but then they weren't designed for this gun so I can't complain much The only gripe I would have about it is the slide. Any Nerf gun with the slide on the top gets an automatic deduct. But, I can't see how else they would have done it on this one so I made an exception in this case. Awesome Nerf Gun for a starter or for a total Nerf Nerd.

The ultimate answer for kitty obedience.
My cat is a furry little douchebag. Honestly thinks he runs the place. Always walking around on the kitchen counters, dipping his dirty paws in whatever dish or drink he sees fit and leaving a snail-trail of hair wherever he walks. We tried yelling at him, waterspray bottles, other various loud noises, giving him treats when he actually gets off the counters at his own leisure (my wife's dumb idea). Nothing seemed to work. I needed to get old-school on him. Thank God whoever is running Hasbro still lives in the 90s. I can say wholeheartedly that this device did the trick. I shot my wife a couple times to make sure the darts don't really hurt. She confirmed they didn't, and soon enough, it was hunting season. I drank half a glass of 2% and left it sitting on the counter, 30 seconds later he came waltzing on in to help himself to some. I crouched behind the dining room table and carefully lined up my shot , I was zeroed in on the spot where his back ends where his tail starts. 3,2,1….POW! I missed by about 18 inches (This thing is wildly inaccurate FYI), but he goes straight into fight or flight wildly looking around at what the noise was. We make eye contact, and I chamber another dart. POW! Missed again. But he saw the dart go flying by and straight up lost it, sprung off the counter and hit the hardwood floor in full sprint. However, the floors are brand new and he couldn’t get any traction, so he was just hilariously running in place like Wile E. Coyote on an oil slick. POW! This one actually connects as he digs in and takes off upstairs. Mission Accomplished. Nowadays, if I ever see him perched about to jump up on the counter, or any other behavior issues for that matter, I reach into the kitchen drawer and pull this badboy out and he immediately falls into line…feline. And I haven’t fired a shot since that fateful day. 10/10 would hunt my cat/wife again.

eh..
Couldn't figure out how to cock it correctly so that it would shoot until my nephew showed me. You almost feel like your breaking it with how far back you have to pull it, but you.don't. I like it.(25 yrs old) and can handle it well. It fires hard, so its fun to fire.at other adults or fake targets, but this would def hurt a child at close range..or not so close range, this thing fires FAST AND HARD. Plus, my nephew (7yrs) kept firing it into other ppls yards :/ so we kept lloosingg the foam pieces, and could only use outside because he would break everything in my mom's house otherwise. We have a huge back yard too if that helps. So, i would recommend for an older kid or teen or.adult but not for kids because 1. Always lose foam bullet pieces 2. Would hurt them

Maverick Improved
This thing is great. It's basically an improved (perfected?) Maverick. Of note: - Elite ranges. Shoots harder, like the other Elites. - No more curving shots because of "cylinder shake." The cylinder rotates AFTER the shot is fired, instead of while the trigger is being pulled, like the Maverick. The old design led to people who were quick on the trigger (me) firing a shot before the cylinder stopped moving, affecting the flight path of the dart. The new design fires the shot, THEN rotates the cylinder for the next dart. - No more air gap. In the Maverick, there was a gap of air between the spring plunger air nozzle and the cylinder that contained the darts. That allowed air to escape and weakened the shots. The Strongarm's air nozzle actually extends and retracts... When firing, the plunger extends to press against the cylinder, releases the air, then retracts for the cylinder to rotate. No more (or at least LESS) lost air. Great range and accuracy, good weight and feel, comfortable grip, quality construction and that well-loved futuristic revolver look. What an awesome gun!
