These are not general purpose scissors. You will not be using them to cut hair, paper, or chicken bones.There are only a few things these scissors are good at, and for those things they are quite good. They are very fine-pointed, so yes you can get them under the edge of a tightly-wrapped bandage on your dog's leg and start nibbling away at it.If I had to remove sutures (thankfully I got people for that) these are the scissors I would want.Not having a dog with an injured leg or stitches at the moment, my test was thick electrical tape, folded over on itself four times. So four layers of thick plastic tape.The curved blade scissors was actually a little better at this than the straight one, which had to be closer to the hinge to start actually cutting (you'd have to get it further under a thick bandage to start cutting.) The straight blade scissors certainly worked, just not quite as well at the very tip.The curved blade scissor was bulletproof. The top millimeter of the blades (nearest the point) bit into the tape and went right through it cleanly.At 16 bucks current price you're getting two 8 dollar scissors that so the thing they do very well.

Accurate. Clean. Easy to use. These are very good. I like them.

Product arrived in 2 days as promised. Scissors are of good quality. They cut well. Just what I wanted at the price that was reasonable.

They were really nice and a great addition to my first aid kit.

I'm using these for fine cuts on thin fabric, and so far they are working for me, with the caveat that they are not made for long cuts. I have other fine cut scissors, but I like the longer handles for when you need to get into tight places and cut, which is harder with my small fabric sheers that have longer blades.
