Francois et Mimi Vintage Double Wall French Coffee Press, 34-Ounce, Stainless Steel

Für mich die schönste French Press überhaupt :) Die Größe reicht fast an einen Wasserkocher heran, das sollte einem bewusst sein. Noch besser wäre sie mit einer eingeprägten Skala innen gewesen, die aber verzichtbar ist. Durch den Versand aus USA hier leider recht teuer (ca.70€ in 11/2023). Sonst alles super.

This french press is absolutely divine! Love it, beautiful quality. I wish there was a matching kettle as well. Also, love that I will not be dealing with broken glass carafe anymore.

Welp, I broke our Bodum French Press for the second time this past Monday 8/15/16, after only having the new Bodum replacement carafe for about 3 months. I guess its not a good idea to use butter as hand lotion, and it's best to leave the juggling of glass kitchen ware to all the creepy circus clowns. With that said, I was not happy and decided then and there I would get the unbreakable SS press if only I could find one that is as irreplaceable as me husband. I searched for hours and read review after review, trying to decide which one would win top prize and be me new coffee mate when, all of a sudden, dun dun dunnn... the heavens opened up and there she is, in all her beautiful shiny glory, me new French Press! I may have shed a tear at the magnificent French Press with the unique handle, lovely shape and perfect finial, all which reminds me of my spiffy Silver Service, on the computer screen at 2am, but I cannot remember. I wasted no time and read the reviews knowing I was getting it anyway and the rest is French Press history. BTW, it's big and the plunger goes all the way to the bottom. I was terrified knowing every morning I would have to put up with the horrible metal on metal, nails on chalkboard sound I so dreaded, but the sound is not what I expected at all, is quite mild, which didn't bother me poor wittle frightened ears. I don't usually drink coffee, as it makes me sleepy, but I can make a mean cup as well as espresso for me husband, who is worth every drop of tasty java.

I ordered this NEW to be a holiday gift for a friend but very disappointingly it was not giftable as it should have been because the item's box was mangled and appeared to be a returned item. Amazon, please stop trying to pass off returned items as "new"! Also there were fingerprints inside of the coffee press since of it someone obviously returned this and it should have not been sent to me in that condition! I am not returning it for this to happen to someone else, instead got a minimal promo credit which should have been a full refund considering it was meant to be a holiday gift for a friend and should have arrived NEW as I ordered it to be! Receiving used returned items when ordering new especially when it a gift for some else is unacceptable! Aside from the squeaky plunger and distasteful tore up condition of the product box and fingerprints inside the press, the design of it is very nice, the outside is shiny & pretty, and the inside is seamless so no leaks will happen.
