I've wanted silicone baking mats for quite a while, and finally last year (2012), got ONE for Christmas, though I really needed 3 of them for my 3 half sheet baking pans.The one I got was exactly like this one, the Fat Daddio's baking mat and right away, used it to roast some pears for a scone recipe I wanted to try, and although the sheet did discolor a some, they were excellent to use overall, and have used it about every 2 weeks or so to bake a batch of homemade cookies for my lunches (way cheaper, and much tastier than store bought). It's holding up very well, and had wanted to get 2 more, and finally bought 2 more here on Amazon as of Dec 29th, 2013. I should get them by Jan 3rd of 2014.The best thing is, for the money (less than $14) per mat, they look to be as good as pricier ones from say, Silpat. When the first one finally wears out, I'll get, yet another Fat Daddio's mat to replace it.While I can't vouch for other brands as I've not had any of these other than the one Fat Daddio's, I like baking with these types of mats as it's less expensive, overall than using parchment, and works better than merely greasing your baking sheets.

Got converted years ago to the joys of Silpat, couldn't live without them. But they wore out, as they do, needed a new pair, so I was on Amazon looking for a Silpat that was reasonably priced. So I see the Fat Daddio and that that I can get two for the price of one Silpat, and I thought---what the heck---although I have always before been fiercely brand loyal to Silpat. So they arrive, quickly, well-packaged, and I have been using them for a month. Frankly, I think they are better than Silpat. Certainly, the slickicity is the same or better, and despite almost daily use, they look like new still. And I think they are a smidgen thicker---that makes me think they will last longer. These are just superior mats and I am so happy I decided to take a chance!

I absolutely love my cooking mat. I am a cookie baker and the mat makes my cookies slide off with ease. It is easy to clean without any scrubbing and leftover burnt crumbs come right off. I highly recommend this product especially for baking.
