Just beware, it’s a .4 pound package that shows in results for 1 lb packages for around the same price.

Low quality
This is by far the worst licorice root I have ever bought. I'm disappointed that I cannot return it. It's weak, and seems to be very old, too long in a warehouse somewhere. I have bought ginger root, tumeric root, a variety of teas, spices, etc from Amazon and have been very happy! I never dreamed I'd want to return this - and now I see that I can't! Very, very unhappy with this purchase. Do not recommend. If I could rate it a -1, I would.

Larger than i thought, i was buying it whole and breaking it down for cups of tea. I still had to chop this down further with scissors, but didnt have to snap and break up as much as before so cant complain. Same quality from a different company, fragrant and tasty. Its good. For anyone interested: it goes really nice with large leaf assam, fennel and cardamon. the ratios that suit me are: 3tbsp tea 1/2 tsp fennel 6 cardamon pods chopped up, also adding the seeds to the blend as they hold flavour too) 1 tsp liqourice X10 fits in my jar so i make it once every week or two. (And i do 1tbsp per cup when i make it, of course adding milk as its a black tea) And i usually substitute 5 tsp of liquorice for 5 tsp of ashwaganda (they taste and smell similar so doesnt change the flavour it practically piggy backs the liquorice) Why not haha
