Rated BBB..... Best Bang for the Buck
Arrived undamaged, with keys and key replacement number stickers on the back.I carpeted the interior, added a golden rod dehumidifier, motion sensor led lights and replaced the keyed lock with a combination Combi-Cam lock. The foam barrel rests were an eye sore so I replaced those with magnetic ones from Amazon then used velcro to attach to the carpet. Velcro comes with a hook side and loop side. Leaving the magnet on the barrel rest adds rigidity and gives the velcro good adhesion. Using the hook side of the velcro allows the carpet I 3M aerosol glued to the interior to then become the loop side for the velcro to grab.I couldn't be happier with the price and quality of this CABINET. This is not a SAFE. There is no fire protection and its main purpose is to keep your firearms from getting knocked around in your closet. Secondarily, it will keep honest people out of it.Don't forget to be good ambassadors of the firearms community, our rights are the ire of others.

Very nice!
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect for under $300. But when I got it, it was heavier than I thought it would be. It isn’t light as a feather, but I was able to bear hug it into the house by myself and was excited to start filling it up. I added a desiccant and some sweet motion led lights to the inside, and really enjoy every time I get to open the door on this cabinet to reveal what’s inside. If you’re saving up for a safe, but don’t have anything currently, get this! As soon as I replace this cabinet with a heavier duty safe I’m going to use it in my shop for other storage items, and maybe pickup more. Really happy with this, thank you Stack-On for this product. Gives me peace of mind on a budget!

Lock Stuck, Can't Open, No Response from Manufacturer.
The media could not be loaded. The locking mechanism has become stuck, preventing the cabinet from opening. The key turns about a quarter way and stops (see attached video).I've since read that this is a known problem with these cabinets, due to the way the locking mechanism is designed. Unfortunately, for me, it failed a little beyond the one-year warranty period.I contacted Stack-On to get some advise on how to open it without destroying it, but haven't heard anything from them. Looks like I'm going to have to cut or drill into the cabinet to "break-in", probably destroying it in the process. My biggest worry is damaging some guns while trying to cut my way in.I would neither buy this again or recommend this product or company to anyone.EDIT: 6-15-21:After zero response from the manufacturer, I decided to try to break in with minimal damage until I can get something to replace this cabinet. So, I purchased some cobalt drills, drilled out the lock, and replaced it with a similar cabinet lock.In the picture of the locking mechanism from the back you can see the problem. The inner-hasp is exposed to stuff in the cabinet. In my case I think an ammo box tipped over and became lodged under the exposed hasp (is that the right word?), preventing it from turning. The cabinet is bolted to the wall and we don't have earthquakes in this part of the country, so I have no idea how it happened, but that is what I found.Stack-On could/should have addressed this issue by adding a few more cents worth of steel and covering the mechanism. Then the problem wouldn't exist. Seems like a tiny amount of extra profit is more important to them than making a reliable product.I cut a piece of Luan and attached some furring to go against the inside of the door to hold the wood away from the lock mechanism-- essentially making a false wall inside the cabinet to cover the exposed lock. It is easy enough to lift this out when accessing the contents. As a work-around for Stack-On's terrible design, it seems to work well enough. But that doesn't change the fact that this design is defective for this type of application. Thus I had to spend extra time and $ on drill bits, drilling, a new lock, and wood to make the false wall.Maybe you will get lucky and this will never happen to you, but due to the extreme nuisance if it does, I'd recommend covering this terrible lock design somehow before using this unit.I'm going to retire this as soon as I get the new gun safe delivered, and still intend to avoid this brand like the plague.

What do you want for $389 delivered? It's a metal box you can screw into a stud that has a good lock
I've seen a lot of people out there bashing these safes or gun cabinets or locking metal boxes or whatever you want to call them. Go buy a super heavy Liberty safe from your local store and pay for delivery if you want something like that. For the money this safe is awesome. It came with free delivery and I don't have a truck so that was really important to me. Okay yeah it's got like three dings on it but that's okay I have a sharpie I can color it in, I have a hammer and a piece of cardboard I can bang out the dents.Better than anything I could find local for the price.

Great first time gun locker
Becoming a new father and this guy right here fit the bill. Easy on the wallet, great for smaller spaces, safe around little ones, and held enough long guns.•The inside is not padded in anyway. Very noisy and could potentially harm firearms but is easy fixed with spray adhesive and barrel rests•The metal is akin to a gym locker. Thin and totally not thief proof but really what is? It IS safe for little ones, curious relatives etc•Will not fit 22 long guns. Will comfortably fit 10-12•Weighs enough to be a deterrent but at only 86lbs is easily moved by owner to various rooms•Has mounting holes for slab or wall frame•Excellent for apartment or small home living•No pull handle but a Very smooth locking mechanism so just be gentle on the key when opening. The lack of pull able surfaces makes it excellent for little fingers. Prybars only getting in this guy.

Practical box
It is what it is: a metal box to put stuff in. Not particularly stout, mine came with the typical dent (s) other reviewers have noted- not critical enough to warrant a return. There is a defect in the upper hinge pin that affects the door alignment but does not hinder closure or locking. My delivery came via FedEx where they dumped it at the top of my driveway. This necessitated fetching a hand truck and rolling it down the driveway to the house. Packaging is not very impressive, little wonder these units take a beating in transit. In the end, you get an okay metal box for $400 and not much more.
