After a long hiatus from the guitar I've decided to give it another shot. So out comes the guitar that has been in the closet for almost 30 years. First thing before attempting to start learning is to make sure its in tune. Two cats fighting sounded better. I didn't want to invest a lot of money in case I decided to drop out again but I really do need to tune this instrument. That's where this nifty little tuner comes in handy. For less than the price of two grande latte's at Starbucks you can be the proud owner of a tuner that actually does the job and does it rather well. First thing your will notice is it's size. Smaller than a pack of cigarettes yet the screen is easily read from the guitar head. Clamp hold tuner securely in place and the screen rotates to any angle for easy viewing. Some people complained saying they dropped the screws that hold the battery cover in place. Mine had no screw and I really see no need for one. The compartment holding the battery closes securely and YES it does come with a battery. After putting on new strings and reading the very less than adequate instructions I had the guitar tuned and happily strumming along. Well, strike the last part. It's a work in progress. But the tuner does it's job and does it splendidly I might add.

I like the JOYO Guitar Tuner Clip. It is very inexpensive compared to others I have purchased in the past.I started out with Snark Tuners and then moved to D'Addario Tuners. Both work, but I wasn't satisfied with the display design.On a whim, I tried JOYO, and was pleasing surprised with its performance and began replacing the Snark and D'Addario turners. The JOYO has built in settings which allows for the specific turning of different stringed instruments.I still have, but replaced all the Snarks and D'Addario with JOYO tuners.This JOYO Guitar Tuner Clip has a sharp display, which is clearly readable and appears to accurately tune my guitars. If I ever purchase another guitar, I will also purchase a JOYO Guitar Tuner to put on it.As to the accuracy of the tuner... how do I actually determine that? I can only say it sounds like it is in tune based on the readout. You will only be able to determine this if you try it. It is an inexpensive tuner alternative .

I recently learned how to tune my own guitar and this clip on tuner works great.

It takes a long time to respond to the note you play, and also it's out of tune.I got this, excited to have my own clip on tuner, since they're so easy to use. I tuned up my electric guitar, but immediately noticed it was a little hard to use the tuner. You hit the note then the tuner doesn't respond for a moment then it indicates flat then sharp then in tune. It takes a very long time for the note to register. I thought this was ok because all I had to do was be patient.Then I played alongside another guitar that had been tuned with a brand name tuner, and we sounded out of tune. I checked mine - good according to this Joyo tuner. He checked his - good according to his name brand tuner. But we still sounded off.Then I checked my guitar with his tuner, and it was way off. I checked my guitar with the tuner app on my phone, and the app matched the other tuner. Two out of three say this Joyo doesn't work.Don't get it, just get a name brand, you won't regret it.

This tuner worked great for the first month. Easy to read, and just as accurate as my $45 tuner. After the first month, it became intermittent and I would have to pluck the string several times before it gave me a reading. Changing the battery did not fix the problem. I sent an msg to the company via their Amazon web site over 2 weeks ago and still no reply. BTW, Joyo is owned by Amazon. I expected something a bit better from Amazon. Update: After posting my review Joyo contacted me and issued a full refund. Thank you Joyo.

.. meaning I don't leave it on the headstock, permanently. I prefer to on/off tune in both regards- tune and remove. It's quick in that it grips right between two fingers and thumb. Nice ease for my preference. It's a little guy but have had no problems, and I like this

I was going to purchase a TC Electronics tuner for $35 dollars and decided to take a chance on this tuner. I was not expecting much but this thing is great! The tuner I wanted to purchase was more flashy but this thing gets the job done for less than $10 dollars and it’s really easy to read.The pics on Amazon are a terrible representation of this tuner. Buy it! Buy 6!
