NEUMI CS5 Center Channel Speaker, Dual 5-Inch Woofers, 1-Inch Tweeter, Dark Wood, Single

This Neumi CS5 speaker arrived on time & undamaged via Amazon delivery. For TV & movie dialogue I needed something better than the Onkyo speaker this Neumi CS5 center speaker replaced. The speaker is attractive, well made & sounds terrific. I paired it with Neumi BS5 bookshelf speakers as the front left & right in my system along with a subwoofer. This makes for a great sounding movie night. At this price point this speaker is terrific. To do better you would spend double or more. Very satisfied & yes I would purchase it again.

Good quality sound for the price. Make sure you reboot your amplifier and set the impedance correctly otherwise it'll be too quiet.

I buy value and quality. My home system is Polk RTi6's and two Klipsch 12" subs. This center channel is an amazing add, put a name brand on it and it would sell for well over $400. Glass fiber and Carbon Fiber cones are the best IMO. As light as paper and stiff as aluminum which offers the best blend of frequency response and bass output/handling. The enclosure is made of MDF and is fully covered with a generous blanket of polyfill inside. The crossover network is worthy of a $800 center channel, a true bandpass for the main driver and a proper high pass filter for the tweeter. Speaker tech is what it is at this point and the Name Brands will do well to start offering better priced options, as this $70 center channel will put to shame any name brand costing $600 or less.

As an owner of the BS5 bookshelf speakers from Neumi, I had some excitement when I ordered this center speaker. First, this shares a lot of the same sound characteristics of the bookshelf which will allow it to blend well into a home theater that is already using the BS5 as their Left and right speakers. The good: Vocal clarity and intelligibility is excellent, dialogue comes through very clearly without needing to raise center speaker level Distortion when playing at higher volumes isn’t offensive and doesn’t take away from the viewing experience It’s compact size makes it easy to integrate into most home theaters The bad: The bass is a bit lack luster and rolled off making vocals and music, while clear, slightly thin sounding, subwoofers are a must Off axis listen (sitting left or right of the speaker) more than 10 degrees will have a noticeable dip in the mid range response which may have an adverse effect on speech intelligibility Other thoughts: With it being rear ported, you might run into so e issue when placing the speaker close to a wall or in a tv stand, this can be helped by plugging the ports with little effect to the bass response. This replaces my Pioneer SP-C22 center channel in my home theater, it plays louder, and clearer with less power. This is an easy recommendation for the price.

This center speaker has the same issue as the sister Neumi BS-5 bookshelves - in that there is a resonance caused by the ports. So take a pair of socks and stuff them in the ports (not too far). I'm playing this with the BS-5s out of a cabinet (six pair of socks total) and a Klipsch 12" sub. Very pleased. Our open plan house has a ~25'x25' listening area and this center with books makes plenty of volume. I think the twin woffers of the center give significantly more base than the books. If I had to do it over I'd just use three of these center channels and forget the bookshelf model.

I have this in a large tower style Klipsh system with a Yamaha amp ( the Klipsh center speaker would not fit in the space )..so this was a bit of a punt. I am absolutely blown over by the delivery and the clarity of speech when watching movies. The performance completely matches the rest of the system. I thoroughly recommend this excellent product. Superb value for money.

Love the look and the sound. I bought two of these to create a faux center channel on my 2013 sony 2 channel A and B spearker connections. I wanted a speaker under my TV and this was the easiest way to do it. The output is stereo instead of a traditional mono center channel but it works and sounds amazing. It also sounds great when playing music. I don't need a subwoofer due to my main speakers have a 10 inch woofers to drive the bass. For the price of $70 each you can't go wrong.

Incredible value for money. I ultimately upgraded to an SVS Prime Center, which is definitely superior, but also cost 7x the price. I'm keeping the Neumi for music and podcasts in another room.
