I bought this as part of a (mostly SmallRig) camera rig that I built for our YouTube channel kit. My example involves a baseplate, 6 inch SmallRig rods, and this SmallRig v-lock mount to secure an external battery, attached to my SmallRig camera cage. This SmallRig v-lock mount plate is small and sturdy. Lightweight is good when it comes to video rigs. It holds my v-mount batteries (several different brands) securely with an audible click. Great product and very useful as a professional photographer.

Sure seems like a simple product but this is a solid, well manufactured piece of equipment. There’s plenty of screws and Allen wrenches to make the required and any supplemental connections. Fits on the 15mm rails with no issue and tightens firmly to hold your v-mount battery in place. Be sure to use the red button to lock it in place to assure its secure. I’m a big fan of small rig and this product is a good example of why.
