2.7M Garden Parasol with Crank and Tilt, Sun Shade for Outdoor, Garden and Patio - Grey

After a very poor delivery service (courier, not seller at fault) I was amazed and very happy with the strength of this extremely well made parasol.I already had a parasol in place with my garden furniture but it was looking a bit shabby so thought I'd update...Firstly, this parasol is very sturdy, all the struts are a thick metal, not flimsy and the pole itself is slightly larger in diameter than my old one although still fits my metal parasol base. (I have since purchased another base but will review that separately).Because this is a good strong umbrella, complete with turning handle option, it is quite heavy and may not suit someone who needs to pack this away regularly - I have to say mine has now been out for about a week and tied (with the built in tie ribbon - they've thought of everything!) It has withstood both heavy rain/hail and quite strong winds. I will of course pack it away for the winter, but it's definitely a more substantial version than I've ever owned.The handle for raising and lowering the parasol is a good quality, with a substantial click when rotated; again suggesting good quality.There is a kind of "overlapping flap" at the top to allow any wind to pass through and this means your parasol is not likely to fly off in any gusts, although with the weight, I wouldn't think it would get too far anyway!If anything, I found that although it was easy enough to tilt the parasol with the supplied push button, it wasn't as easy to put it back in the upright position. I'm not sure if this is because of the weight of the parasol and/or it is still new and needs to bed but once more, I can only put this down to the exceptional build of the parasol and the weight that goes behind it. Needless to say, I did manage to put it back upright before lowering it into the closed position, but someone else may consider this as too heavy for them?Coverage wise, it completely sheltered my 2.4m square deck with dining set of a round table and 4 chairs, but you will definitely need a sturdy base (not supplied) and possibly a prop (my table has a central hole) to keep it in place.Undeniably good value for the money 🙂

I love it. It came super fast. I love the colour and material. Bugs are already leaving their marks on it (staining) so I'm not completely sure ivory was the best idea but that's personal as I have nowhere to store it/cover it just yet.The crank is so easy to use - and it's not too heavy for a not strong person to pick up and carry around. I'm not using it with a table - just as a freestanding umbrella to keep me in the shade in an otherwise suntrap garden, as my skin reacts to direct sunlight and hates suncream.I bought a good base for it and it was very solid on a flat surface, less so on the uneven grass.It toppled over twice when tilted but this was on a particularly breezy day. Anything below 9MPH wind you're fine but you will need extra weights, or to reposition it when tilted so it's less likely to catch the breeze.Creating some shade has been a life changer just so I can be outside but cooler and safer for my skin.I'm really happy with it personally - it behaves very well!

As you can see from the photo, the taupe is much darker than the picture, but it looks ok, it assembles easily and I purchased a base to fit.The crank makes it easy to put up, hopefully the string doesn't snap. It doesn't look very big but I only have a small space, the tilt and turn is handy. It seems quite sturdy, but I haven't used it much yet.

The parasol supplied is of good construction, sturdy and looks terrific.Unfortunately during the recent high winds last year, my garden table was blown over with the closed parasol still in it, bending the bottom section of parasol tube way beyond repair. I contacted the company asking if I could purchase a replacement lower tube section as the upper section of the parasol was ok and remained intact and was undamaged. They unfortunately weren't able to supply a lower tube but kindly and generously offered to send me a complete replacement free of charge, which I accepted.I received the replacement a couple of days ago, which is identical to the one I purchased in early 2020.They have been in constant contact with me regarding the replacement over the last few months as the parasol wasn't in stock until a month ago. I have to advise that I have received nothing but extremely good service and superb attention from Figo and highly rate them as a company to do business with, and would highly recommend them to others.

This was chosen as it was a good price and am happy to say that the quality is far better than expected. Looks great, easy to put together and the handle makes putting it up/down nice and easy. Very happy with our purchase

Great parasol ,which was delivered quickly and efficiently. Strong construction, but the only thing you have got to be careful with if you are putting it through the hole in a garden table, make sure you measure the diameter of the central pole and the hole through the table. I didn’t and it is too thick, but the parasol is fine next to the table.
