Well built, compact - Hitch Extension.
We needed this for the back of our van. We purchased a double bike rack to haul our Lectric XP bikes and also a RackAttach to swing the bike rack with bikes away from the back doors to make loading easier. The RackAttach is as overbuilt as the Meyer's is and when attached, hung too close to the ground. The Meyer's hitch extension was the solution without adding an excessive amount of additional length to the end of our van. Now the RackAttach is 4" higher which also raises the bikes. Not a bad thing. With the weight of the bikes, bike rack and RackAttach, I'm very happy with how overbuilt the Meyer's hitch extension is. I tried another, cheaper hitch extension and the flex with the RackAttach open was enough for concern.

Nice Drop Receiver
I use this on my lifted GMC for a motorcycle rack at the tailgate where the bike rolls up perpendicular. The drop allows the correct roll of the bike up to the stand.Strong insert iron with pretty tight fit not much slop. Would recommend.

So far it is working pretty well!
I have a front mount receiver with a winch & cradle that I put on in the winter time just in case. But my truck (94 Chevy K1500) isn't the highest ground clearance vehicle and with the winch mounted it can basically become a mini plow! So I have always wanted something to raise the winch up but still allow me to "winch" if I need (meaning not those low grade risers meant to mount a bike on). This riser seemed to fit the bill and does so pretty well. My only negative is I can only use 2 out of the 3 holes (bottoms out on my receiver), would be nice to limit how far the winch sticks out but this will do! Also, not that it matters to me, but this is really made by Curt, came in a Curt box and has a Curt sticker on it (you can even see that sticker on the Amazon picture!

Super strong and a major bargain!
This is a beautifully built heavily powder coated piece, and due to it's overbuilt design I suspect that it could handle significantly more tow weight and tongue weight than it's rated. The piece that extends into your receiver is solid bar stock, and the drop is heavily gusseted. Additionally, it is the only drop extension that I have seen with 3 holes drilled in the receiver mount, and compared to other mounts out there that utilize slid bar stock, it is priced incredibly low. Unfortunately, as it turned out I needed a 6" drop and Meyer doesn't make one. Whaa! The company actually makes snowplows, and this thing is designed to be used in front receiver hitches for certain model trucks to achieve the proper plow height.

Does not extend far enough
I have a 2017 Toyota Sienna, I bought this to raise my cargo carrier but it doesn't extend far enough. When using the furthest hole, this adapter still hits my rear bumper and I had to push it against the bumper to get the pin through. I then used a rag to minimize any scratching or indentations, but now i need to figure out how to extend it further in the future. Height wise, 4" was better than nothing, I did scrape getting out of driveway but no other issues while on the road. Drove over 300 miles with it and everything was secured, item was made very well and was why i chose it.

Extremely well built. Solid piece of equipment
This thing is stout! Very heavy duty - nothing cheap or flimsy about it.I bought this one after the 2” drop version I bought wasn’t enough drop for my trailer. My 2” drop version is made by same maker and it is also very sturdy. That’s why I went with the same maker/seller.Anyway, the photos show the closed ends of the bar stock for the top portion of the hitch. It’s solid metal which is why it’s so heavy and durable. The welds look very substantial as well.Very happy with this adapter/hitch offset.

Heavy Duty
Do not confuse this for an normal hitch drop extension. This thing is very heavy duty.

Two words: HEAVY METAL!
This fit my 2 inch front receiver perfectly. I purchased this to add a little height to my receiver hitch, and I was looking for something strong. I was not disappointed; the square tubing that you insert into the receiver and put the pin through to hold it, uh uh, nope, it ain't no square tubing, it's a solid piece of square steel! You can tell the moment you pick it up it's all there.
