DON’T DO IT!!!!!
I gave it 1 star just to acknowledge the effort that went into creating this product.Look I’m not a guy who turns my nose up to non-alcoholic beverages. I can enjoy a Budweiser Zero or other non-alcoholic beer.So when I saw this product advertised, out of curiosity I bought a bottle. After all why not?Lemme tell you all about this. First off, as soon as you pull the cork out, the aroma is a slap in the face to all bourbons everywhere. It smells like the aftertaste of vomit in your mouth. So right out the gate things weren’t looking good. But I was committed to trying it out so I dug in and prepared myself.I put a large ball in my glass and poured this over it. I let it settle for a few minutes before taking a sip. Oh my god it was bad. I can’t put it any other way. It begins with a familiar oak taste but a second after hitting my tongue, there was that vomit taste again with a prune finish. I had to force it down because I didn’t want to be wasteful.A week later I thought I would give it another try. But after a few sips I gave up. I poured out the glass and poured the rest of the bottle down the sink. The whole kitchen smelled like vomit and prunes for about a half hour afterward.I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone. If you’re looking for a non-alcoholic bourbon, this ain’t it. In fact you may just have to face reality. Because I have zero faith in these products now.I’ll be sticking with the real thing and only the real thing from now on. I had hoped to dabble with creating a non-alcoholic Old Fashioned with this, but I think I’ll go back to experimenting with iced tea to find that proper fix.And I’ll stick with my Woodford, Buffalo Trace, and Bulleitt for myself.I normally don’t leave reviews for products on here. I just buy my stuff and mind my own business. But I can’t in good conscience stay silent. If you’re reading this, trust me. It’s not worth it.Find something else.

Best bourbon substitute on the market
This does what it is supposed to do better than any other bourbon substitute I have found. If you are looking for an exact replica of the spirit, then you are going to set yourself up for disappointment. However, if you want to cut down on your alcohol intake, then it is worth a try. My goal is to reduce the amount of alcohol, not remove it completely. If I am sipping it over ice, I will mix it 50/50 with full-strength bourbon. When tasting on its own, you can tell it is not bourbon, but I was impressed that there is a smokiness in your throat as you would expect with alcohol and it has a slightly sweet, oaky undertone. For an old-fashioned, I would mix it 50/50, but if you were to put it in a coke, it would be very forgiving and would taste similar to a Jack and Coke. Definitely recommend.

No, just no!
This stuff was not tasty!! My husband and I both, wanting to cut down on alcohol intake, had high hopes that this nonalcoholic Bourbon would at least taste decent. But sadly, no! The smell was so off, and the taste was not any better (even after chilling for a few days!)I'm usually not that critical about different tastes but there was just no way that I would have even taken a second sip; not to mention, my husband and I both had that off taste in the back of our throats for about a half hour. I don't know how to describe the taste other than to say it tasted like the bourbon had soured! It came packaged great; and the bottle looked exactly like what was pictured, but aside from that, it was basically unpalatable.I have never left a review, good or bad on Amazon, but this product was just NOT worth what we paid for it!

Not a good imitation
It tastes of flavored water. I brought this product for someone who cannot have alcoholic drinks because of the medication they are taking, and they enjoy an evening cocktail. Luckily because this person cannot taste, they feel it is an alcoholic whiskey. What would improve on this product is enhancing in both flavor and viscosity. Why does the product cost more that alcoholic whiskey?

So so
The flavor profile of this has changed a lot. What used to be watery, vanilla liquid now has a LOT of smoke (think smoke infused cocktail), and more peppery tones. Credit to the distiller for efforts on improving the recipe, hence the 3 stars. If you like strong, oaky bourbon, this may be an acceptable mocktail old fashioned.

Best AF brand I have found- Mocktail!
In my effort to cut back/take a break from alcohol, I tried a couple options and did not care for them. I tried the Free Spirits bourbon and found it satisfying. Do not buy if you want it straight, it is NOT bourbon! It is meant to be a mixer. I mainly make Old Fashions with it. My OF mix is some OF mixer (pre-mixed), Bourbon cherries, FS Bourbon, and sugar free Tonic. I tried it with just regular water and it was OK, put a little tonic in instead and it adds that little extra needed to back down the false bite they try to give the bourbon. The flavor is good and it works for me! Just need a Free Spirit Vodka now! No 5 stars as it is not yet "perfect", but as close as I have found outside of real bourbon. It is a bit pricey though...more expensive that a bottle of average bourbon. However, you don't need a LOT in your glass, half FS and half Tonic, good to go!
