Ramon Ricker Improvisation, Vol 2: Blues, Book & CD (Advance Music: The Ramon Ricker Improvisation Series, Vol 2)

These were originally released on vinyl from Studio P/R in the 1970s. Rhythm section is Mel Lewis (drums), Harold Danko (piano) and Rufus Reid (bass). Those tracks begin with track 11 on the CD. The *only* reason I didn't give this 5 stars... when they did the transfer to CD there's a pitch discrepancy. It's nothing that can't be fixed if you convert the CD to an editable audio file...but come on people. I want to say the tuning note was spot-on and then the vintage play along tracks were off by about 2%. It's a terrific volume, I'm glad I got this on CD finally, my forty-something year old vinyl copy has gotten pretty noisy.
