My wife hired a very cheap and mediocre handyman to come in and paint some doors in my house. I have been trying to clean the mess up ever since. The streaks of paint on my walls, the runs, the debris caught in the paint, and in one case the hinge he managed to rip out on one of my doors. These fit neatly into the mortise of the existing hinges, and had a high-quality, even-painted appearance, unlike the mess left by him. I'm going to gradually replace all of our hinges with these, have been very happy with their appearance and performance.

My builder used brass hinges and sprayed them with white latex paint. When I tried to clean the lubricant they used off the paint was eaten up by the cleaner. I decided to buy these in a pinch and they worked better than I expected. Perfect fit, no squeaking, and the white paint looks to be durable. I'm quite pleased. Wish they were made in the USA, but unlike a lot of Chinese goods these days, these are of high quality and should last a very long time.

I got these hinges because I wanted to improve the look of the doors throughout the house. Most of the colors I use are white to varying shades of Sandy Beige. The doors and trim are white. These hinges hide with the color scheme and present a more finished look. They work well and were easy to install; I did it myself. The screws that came with were solid and long enough to fit the previous mount holes. I do not know about the durability as I have only had them for a short while. The screws did not strip out using the drill, even when I had to readjust the hinge so the door would close properly. The hinges are made of a heavier metal than the ones they replaced. They arrived well packed, and the paint was not chipped. Good value. I ordered a second set.
