we love this open-ended tray with all its tools so much!! we have had it just a month, and it has gotten so much use already; from loose parts (pictured) to fine sensory play, discovery to imaginative play, fine motor skill and playdough play...it is so good. my boys have even used the brush to pretend they were digging and brushing off dino bones. love the quality and feel of the wood, and love the beauty of it as even a prop in photos. any homeschool's dream.

We love our Kookaroo sensory bin! My child plays with this almost every day and asks to play with it. There are endless, creative ways to use this. It keeps them busy for a long time which is great for me :). It is also super durable and well made. Everything looks and feels super high end. We love looking up new ideas for sensory activities. We absolutely love our kookaroo sensory tray! The tray itself has 2 compartments. Usually I use the larger one for sensory play and the smaller one to hold the tools. The tools it comes with are sturdy and useful! The quality of the wood is AMAZING! This wood is so beautiful! I know this will last for years to come! In fact, once my kids outgrow it, I plan to use it in my home as home decor!

I have other trays for sensory play so I went back and forth on whether I needed another and I'm so glad that I decided to order the kookaroo tray! I love the size of this and the second, smaller area is perfect for loose parts, resin letters, bowls, and tools. The tools it came with are all really well made and the magnifying glass is so cool for exploring small details in your play setups.

I'm so disappointed, this set is aesthetically beautiful with such a nice variety of tools for little hands, but the one I ordered came with a giant crack across the bottom. I ordered a replacement and that came with TWO cracks across the bottom. It was packaged very well so the issue is not in shipping it's in the build or storage as the cracks are along the grain of the wood. I was hoping that the other reviewers experiencing cracks were the unlucky few. Apparently not.

We love all of our kookaroo sensory bins! We use them everyday for homeschooling - it’s so great to add dry rice, beans etc to play in. But we also use them often for organizing items on the table for our activities. One of which was bird seed ornaments as pictured above. The accessories are so sweet and the perfect sizes. The quality is unmatched and the company is so pleasant to work with. Highly recommend!

For $50, this is very cheaply made. The tray is fine, but the tools are thin and feel like they wouldn't hold up to use by a toddler. I opened the tongs for the first time to pick up one of the little spoons, and the slight pressure I used to pinch down broke the tongs! 3 minutes in and a piece is now broken with gentle use! Honestly, this looks like a cheap Matcha tea set (Japanese tea ceremony style) that they rebranded as a kid's toy. All the tea ceremony pieces are there. You could assemble a better bin with some measuring spoons and cheap paintbrushes and stuff - I wish I had thought to do that instead of wasting my money. I thought maybe wood would be nicer, but I was wrong. Also, it feels silly to mention since they were clear in the description, but you just get the tray and tools - none of the little squishy toys or play sand or anything is included, just in case you were just going by the photo.
