Among many very pricey options of other brands, this one is a steal with this price. It doesn’t stick at all and keeps the skin very moisturized. It doesn’t have a fragrance or odor of it’s own. I write honest reviews of products on somewisegirl and I can safely say I recommend this as a safe and efficient option.

Very good product to incorporate inyour DIY body butters. Watch out as it comes on some price discount once in a while.

This is 100% not real shea butter, it does absolutely nothing for the skin - dries up 10mins later as if you never used anything. Total waste of money.

Perfect, non-allergenic skin emollient. It resists temperature changes, so at 60 degreesF you can pat it onto your desperately chapped lips, and at 85F it hasn't melted into a staining mess--yet. (I wouldn't trust keeping it in my car during the summer) I bought mine 7 months ago, and keep small amounts in tiny tubs. This shea butter seems as fresh as the day I bought it, with no weird rancid odors. Shea nuts are a food item south of the Sahara, and it's worrisome that refining the butter from the nuts is an expensive process that can deplete the communities.

Not homogenous in texture.

Absolutely love this shea butter. When I learned that those with oily skin actually need a deeper moisturizer (because oily skin is actually dry and overproducing oil to compensate) I got this and have noticed my skin is noticeably less oily in the day now. I like knowing that I’m not putting toxic chemicals on my face as this is all natural. I scoop just a tiny amount on my fingers, put it on my palm, and rub my hands together to warm it up, so it melts and is easier to then rub on my face. I then rub the rest on my hands. I put it on every night. I usually buy the larger size and it lasts forever. I got this size for travel. Highly recommend!

I have an autoimmune disease that attacks moisture producing glands in the body. One of the symptoms is unbelievably dry skin.I am also very sensitive to chemicals on or in my body. I've found that single ingredient, clean moisturizers work best for my skin.I have bought other types of organic shea butter but they aren't as easy to apply as this stuff. This is actually somewhat soft. The consistency is similar to ice cream but grittier. I put a glob in my palm and let it melt some before I apply it but even if it's still a bit gritty, just keep rubbing it in. It will melt down the grittier parts of the butter.Shea butter is a fantastic moisturizer and stays on. It can feel a bit greasy but absorbs quickly while still eaving a barrier on the skin.I can actually put it on my face at night and wake up with moisturized skin instead of dry and tight skin.Love that this product is white instead of the more typical shea butters which are yellow. It is essentially odorless with maybe the slightest hint of a natural scent.If you have super dry skin like on your elbows and feet you will love this stuff. I'm a new fan and will be ordering more in the future.

I have eczema that is exacerbated by cold, dry weather. This year was the worst. I've purchased many clean products over the years including organic body oils (avocado, grape seed) and Weleda skin food butter (good product!) but none have been as effective as this stuff. This butter is odorless (good), gritty, not easy to apply and you should wait a bit for the product to absorb before putting on clothes. However, overall, this is a 5-star product for effectiveness at caring for dry, irritated. Tip: I mix with organic unscented body lotion for easier application and quicker absorption.
