Return To An Old Favorite.......
I've had at least one Civilization game on my computers since I've had game on them. This one was one I wanted to check out and see. I got the complete version as it came with a number of items including a number of DLC packs. Also, it was a Steam game and I like the way you won't lose your game if they are tied to a Steam account. (After three system upgrades in the last few years this doe make a difference to me.) And by the way, you don't have to run Steam all the time to play your game, just play offline. Anyway, I activated it without a problem and got it downloaded. (One thing I will say as that if you have a metered account or no broadband then having to have a Steam account could be a bit of a pain.) I ran the game and it ran great. I noted that this version takes you thru a great many "before the game" screens before you really get to the game itself, but then it has a number of extra items with it. (I noted the manual runs around 365 pages.) Anyway, once you get in game it runs great and gives you a really great gaming experience and sucks you in just like the other Civ games do. Well worth the time and money....

Amazing game!
I love this game!!! Playing it is just simply amazing! I have a $500 Dell laptop and it never drops lower then 50fps (at 1080p).Civilizations:What is there to say? Me as a American playing as George Washington was really fun and it really liked the special ability's so I could differentiate from my playing style from the other leaders.Gameplay:Never gets old. Whenever I am not slaughtering barbarians (like a boss) i am strategically planning my next move and how to handle situations and conflicts between the city states and other civilizations. It is always fun when your making a new game to mess around with the advanced settings (especially the temperature and humidity controls) to make the game more in your favor or to make the game a true challenge.Modifications:Really enjoyable with the PC master race mod and the tactical nuke mod. If your like me and love the accommodations of features of other games then go with the Fallout and the elder scrolls mods to spice up you normal game.Overall: Awesome. I am hooked and i would recommend this to any gamer.

Worth it in the end
I was slow to try Civilization V due to complaints I had heard from people like me that have loved the entire Civilization series. I have no idea what the previous versions were like, without the "complete" additions, but I am impressed with Civ V. Diplomacy is much improved, warfare is more strategic than before and the graphics are good. The only thing keeping this from being a five star review is that the AI is poor at warfare, the Hall of Fame was hard to find and there are no grand victory videos or celebrations when you win. Despite these drawbacks, the game is still very enjoyable. Also, I've not yet seen a civilization vote for anyone in diplomatic victory except themselves, it might be worth tweaking to allow a small, weak civilization to actually vote for a protector or civilization that has liberated their cities. (Note: I've not played online.)

So disappointed
It is really pretty but also very stupid. I don't mean stupid like it is a poor concept - no, I mean stupid like the developers just completely missed. Oh it looks phenomenal. But the rich map view that you are going to want to use is constantly saying that one of your units needs instructions when they do not. But if you toggle to the "this looks worse than Civilization 1" view then the messages go away. And it is sooooo slow. I am not playing large maps or multiplayer.I like to build a map that is large and spacious. I'll place a few opponents far apart from each other and then let it all grow during the game. I like it when an opponent has had time to make their own success... before I go into battle. But with Civ V it takes so long to just get two units to have their moves recognized that I'm making diner while I wait.Civ V does not have a "in package" map builder. If you want to build a map then you need to download a mod. Oh and we hope the mod is safe but we can't be sure. In fact we are going to make disclaimers that you probably do not want to use the mods. But then we (through Steam) are going to give you access to a huge library of mods... that we are not sure if they will completely destroy your operating system or infect you with a nasty virus. Go have fun now! Why!?! Why? did you create something sooooo beautiful that I cannot enjoy it without wasting countless hours on fan forums trying to figure out how to do a simple task? I hate this.

No issues
Product was delivered in working order. No issues, however tired of giving credit for business doing what they're supposed to do.

Excellent Game!
This is one of my favorite games, and highly recommended if you are a Civ fan. I have played all of the Civilization games, since the very first edition more than 25 years ago, and this is my favorite version so far.Yes, you are forced to use Steam, but unfortunately, that is the only option if you want to play this game. You can run this game with Steam in offline mode though -- but you will still need Steam installed. This is the full version of the game, but it has been updated since the disk was made. This means you will have to download the latest full version from Steam, so be prepared for that when you first install this game.

Fascinating game at a great price, way cheaper than buying it on Steam
Civilization is a fascinating game that my daughter just got into. This is a great edition, including all expansions, so it's just one price. It's convenient and includes the Steam code, but you get the entire game and all expansions for a fraction of what you would pay for the base game on Steam. She's having a great time ruling the world with different techniques. She's been a warmonger, a peacemaker, etc. Quite interesting to deal with key historical figures showing up in the "wrong" part of the world, and even more interesting when you're attacked by such peacemakers as Gandhi.

rien à dire, si ce n'est...
... Merci pour le respect du produit et des délais de livraison. Il y a des boutiques qui se sortent les doigts. Ce jeu est un "must have" pour les pépères calmes et non violents. 8^P
