They are worth the purchase they are beautiful
I purchased two of these. The green one with the Frog and this one. I absolutely love them they are very well made. They do not work unless they're in the Sun but they are definitely worth purchasing they are beautiful

Pump broke after two months
Ceramic is nice and the pump is fine for what it is. The tube/bung that connects the pump and ceramic fish broke very easily when trying to give it a clean. Pretty disappointed that I can't even get a suitable replacement.Update: Reached out to support and they were out of replacement pumps so they sent one along when they were back in stock. Grateful for that so updating to 4/5. I think what is preventing this from being a 5/5 is that the shape of the koi fountainhead/fittings and pump just don't work well together. I have the frog fountain from the same company and it works perfectly.

Not for the Pacific Northwest
I ordered this in June of this year and then received a notice asking me how I liked it. Since I hadn't received it, I answered as such and then it was shipped to me and arrived at the beginning of August. Since strong sunlight is pretty rare here except from June through August, I wasn't thrilled to get it so late. I set it up in the morning and then left to run some errands in the afternoon and figured it would be charged and running by the time I got home. When I got home, it wasn't working so I checked the wiring and found that a squirrel had chewed through the skinny wire before the thing was even 10 hours old. So I got out the wire strippers and reconnected the wires and wrapped them in electrical tape and it still didn't work. I talked with their customer service person and they agreed to send me a new one if I would wrap it back up and take it to a FedEx location once I received their return label. I received the label around August 10 and decided I did not want to bother wrapping the bad one up and finding a FedEx location because by the time I get the next one, I will not be able to use it until next year and I just decided to forget it. So I will use it as an $80 birdbath. Like others, I found it to be quite small and so for me it was a total waste of money. It was nice of them to offer to replace it since it wasn't their fault the squirrels chewed through the wire but I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it and then find that it didn't work again or another squirrel found the wire particularly delicious. If you have squirrels in your yard, do not buy this product, which is way overpriced for what you get. Very small and flimsy fountain parts.

Super cute and bigger than expected
Based on previous reviews i was hesitant to purchase, i did find that they were all mostly true. The way this item is packaged for shipping is amazing! no problems there. It is a pretty solid heavy item which i think is great, the colors really stand out in the sun and shimmer. But when it came to setting up the spicket (fish) where the water flows there, that is where i had some issues, the base of the fountain is round so when you try to suction the water pump to the bottom and connect the spicket (fish) through the hole, they don't line up and it takes some time to get them to connect to one another. Once you have it connected it works great!Another thing i would like to mention, the solar panel will only run the water pump if there is full sun, if you are setting up on a cloudy day and no sun it will not run. There is no battery to keep it alive all day and night so just be aware when you are buying that it will only power on when the sun is out.

Very pretty, and fountain/birdbath works great with DIRECT sunlight
The media could not be loaded. The day I took this video, we couldn't stop watching our koi fountain with floating mum. The solar panel is taped to the side rail of our deck receiving maximum sun. Notice how the fountain peters out at the end due to the panel not getting full sun (too bad the lawnmower and insect chorus drowned out the tranquil water sounds). We ordered two of these beautiful cobalt blue fountains, and the first arrived with minor blemishes (pockmarks) in the bowl--not worth returning. The second one arrived in perfect condition. We have had the first fountain almost a year now, and it works perfectly as described--with the panel in DIRECT sunlight. Direct sunlight means that nothing can be shading more than a tiny section of the solar panel, and with lower sun angles the solar panel needs to be angled toward the sun. So it's up to you to determine the best place to either permanently place the panel for maximum fountain hours, or to reposition it with the moving sun (earth). We get 4.5 hours of fountain on a sunny day during the summer (the first .5 hour of that is more of a gurgle before it gets to full-stream). On hazy days, we get less than a full stream to nothing at all. If a tiny portion of the panel is shaded by a blowing tree, it goes down to a gurgle. It's beautiful with the fountain going, and it's still pretty as just a birdbath. Many reviewers describe it as small, but we bought ours to double as a bird bath. It's almost as big as a typical-sized birdbath, and if you fill it to the brim (which you should if you have the fountain running for several hours/day under the sun), it's actually too deep for smaller birds. Our birds usually use it when we're not watching, as they can see us (and the kitty) through the window. We also caught a squirrel taking a sip.In the fall and winter, we ran it inside the house for about 1 hour/day so our part-Coonie kitty could play in the fountain and dunk his toys.

Not built to last!
Bought in July and did not last. It’s November of the same year and it stopped working. Husband test volt meter on the solar pad and it’s getting sufficient power but motor does not work. Sad it’s a beautiful fountain but don’t waste your money.
