I love it, but not for oat milk
Believe me, I've tried almost everything I could think of to make oat milk with this without making it slimy, and to make it slightly sweet like the store bought Sown or Chobani version. I used amylase-b (not a because it's heckin expensive and rare to find, although that's what big companies use) to cook the oats with, baked the oats dry in the oven in different ways to break down the starch, tried different types of oats (rolled, steel-cut, etc.), and found that this machine just isn't good at oat milk. It epically fails every time because it wasn't designed to make oat milk. It heats the oats, which is the worst thing to do for oat milk, and if it just blended it and made it, it'd be far better. And yet, despite me buying this to make oat milk at home, I have found it makes easy cashew cream or almond cream that tastes good. It is skilled at managing the other options that I've tried, and allows supreme control of what texture and taste you want for different kinds of milks. It's easy to clean and use, and it makes it fun to experiment. It does have an issue where if you put too much stuff on the top part, it will spray out when blending it, which is a horrible mess, and sometimes it doesn't dry the inside after self-cleaning so I have to leave it open and wipe the sludge out myself, but overall it is an incredible machine for someone with lactose intolerance.Maybe one day I will find some magical solution for oat milk through the machine, but for now, it is good for making creams for cooking and other milks for different beverages, all made fresh right there!

Beat Up Box Should Have Told the Story
This box was in horrible shape. The two caraffes were not included. The selection panel works, then it doesn't.I am sending this back and I will bite the bullet and order a new one, or find a different machine altogether. This is an Amazon refurbished machine. However, it was sold with the 2 caraffes. My return shows it being returned with 2 caraffes. I have no idea how I can return them when I never got them! This machine would not work, then it would, but you had to press super hard on the selection panel. It would work sometimes, then it would not. This should not be so difficult. I don't think, with a refurbished machine, it should be this difficult. I have no confidence it will last. Perhaps buying a new one under warranty, fully functioning, without defects, is best.I should have known when I saw the beat-up box.

So easy to use
My girlfriend has been trying to get me to buy a milk make for ages and I was becoming really concerned about all of the waste with store bought, but she got the almond cow and I looked at the reviews for that and I looked at the reviews for Chef wave and decided to get that and I’m so delighted I did. I cannot tell you how easy it is to use, cleans itself and the milk is fantastic. I’ve gone through gallons of trial at error just trying to get the perfect milk that I like, but once I was done and have found it cannot give it enough positive reviews. If you like a variety of milk and like combinations, don’t think about it just go and buy it. it’s just an absolute gem. If I got credit for referring people, I’d have tons of credit because I’ve turned lots of family members and friends onto it who bought it, and a very happy too. Just buy it.

So easy and pays for itself
I have used about 3 pounds of a five pound bag of dried soybeans making soy milk with this milk maker. I have been using it about 8 months and haven’t seen any signs of wearing out. I have saved at least the cost of this machine in the amount of plant milk I would have bought at the store during that time. I can’t use a nut milk bag because my hands get sore from squeezing it. I’m so thankful for this machine!Sure it’s not as nice as Silk brand soy milk, but it has two ingredients: soy and water. I have to shake the milk before I can use it because it still has sediment that sinks to the bottom. To me that’s a plus because I’m getting all of it, but I can see that being a problem if you want smooth texture. It’s great for oatmeal and soup. Not good for coffee. I make enough to last all week and store in wide mouth mason jars with pour spout lids.I also made cashew milk which was very creamy. This machine is noisy enough that i can’t hear the TV when watching in the next room, but the noisy part is very brief. The noise doesn’t bother me when I’m in the same room. The machine is very easy to clean. The lid of the mixing compartment comes off, and that part is easy to clean. The mixing blade is not as easy and has developed some buildup but I’m very consistent about cleaning it. The pitcher and lid are easy to clean. The waste water bin is hard because it has a weird shape and requires a skinny bottle brush to get it really clean. The water repository is easy to fill. I can’t use with my refrigerator water dispenser because the lid gets in the way. I figured out I can use my Keurig multi-cup water bin to fill it to the top in one go. I always use filtered water when making nut and soy milk.It fits nicely on my counter. I keep it next to my coffee maker.
