I was told that the sensor is calibrated for the cable length, so get the cable length you need or longer, but don’t cut it down, I’m not sure if this is correct but it works well un modified with the my Energy Eddi

used it for my solar thermal set up. Its a sensor for my evacuated tube array. Works great.

I have a £5k recycling chiller/heater at work that stopped working earlier in the year. The company wanted to charger me £100 for a PT1000 probe so I bought one on Amazon and fixed it myself. The only downside is that if you immerse beyond the metal probe tip i.e. where the plastic sleeve is, the water will leak into the platinum end and corrode. For full immersion you'll need to seal around the top of the metal crimped area. I used some plastip, taping off areas around the bottom of the metal probe before dipping.

Works perfectly with my Myenergi Eddi solar diverter (with relay board).

Seemed fine at first and was reading accurately. After just a few weeks, started reading very erratic... should have read about 60deg, but often showed over 100deg and averaged way over the actual temperature. Not great and I had to return one that didn't work at all.

Using the PT1000 in conjunction with solar PV diverter to optimally use excess power to heat hot water tank that needs a sensor to prevent overheating. Well made, delivered promptly as advertised.

Happy with my purchase & working well so far.

The PT1000 seems accurate and I'm using it for monitoring the temperature of my hot water tank with my Eddi solar diverter works well.
