Q: How many do you need?

Just the one. This is a steering stabilizer. Not an shock absorber.

Q: Why is there so many back and forth answers with some having a hard time with the positive charge and others saying it's none existent?

I'm a fan of Bilstein products so I bought this steering stabilizer shock. I installed it and my truck pulled hard to the right, had a diesel performance shop check it out, reason, because it's a positive charged shock.When you open the box there will be a long nylon zip tie holding it together, just like the shocks that's positive charge.I called Bilistein they informed me YES it's positive charge and the only way to correct it would be to buy another steering stabilizer shock and install that one on the opposite side so it can push against the factory side to help my truck to possibly go straight. Well, there is no kit available for my truck to do this, so I returned it, got my refund and went with the Rancho Heavy Duty stabilizer shock.Anyone saying non existent, is full of BS, or commenting on a different product.I know, I've been there and dealt with this already.

Q: Anybody runnin this on a 6 inch lifted Silverado with 35's?

im running them on a 2007 2500hd classic, with leveling kit,w 35's not problem

Q: Does it come with the mounting brackets, if not can Iorder them?

It was a direct replacement for the one on my 2005 HD2500 truck so no mounting brackets were required.
