Instant butt on ice!
What I will say that is negative is this. The sizing is terrible! This was supposed to be a BOYS Large. NOT MENS. My son wears a size 7 figure skate from the rinks. The size selection says 6-9. Its huge!I wear a mens size 9 for hockey or figure skates I tried them at the smallest setting there was still an inch in front of my toe. This would not have been a huge problem for me if not for the design of the blade. It seems to have zero heel built in. The skates rock backwards so bad that if you try to stand up with out concentrating, you will have your butt on the ice in no time! The heel feels lower than the toe when your wearing them, its lower back strain like crazy. I bought these used from Amazon for $10.00 so with Prime there was no shipping charge. I could return them but heck my shipping cost would probably be around that and I spent 6 bucks having them sharpened. I will say that this products basic construction is very good w/ exception of the balance issue. So for the pride it was a gamble. I tried to see if another man there would want them for 10 bucks, he tried them on but as soon as he stood up he fell backwards into his seat and said no thanks. Has no one else had an issue with this??? I was going to leave them at the rink with "FREE TO ANYONE" written on them. I guess Goodwill gets them. The only reason for 2nd star is that material workmanship is very good like a soft hiking boot. I just wish that they didn't make you want to fall all the time.

Good idea but not the best.
I got these for my Son who is expected to grow. Be careful with the size. His size is the smallest setting and they are still 1" too long. The shoe is narrow so unless his feet grow long but not wide they should be OK right?Insoles are poor quality, I cut out a Dr. Scholl's insole for him, the insole which comes with the skate is 1" smaller than the smallest size so I don't know what they expect. Without the insoles the skate bottom feels hard.Only complaint my son had was the skate feels a bit too narrow and pinches his legs from the sides, but it works fine with lose shoe laces. Overall, he likes them compared to the rentals. These are not going to last longer than a year, not be cause of quality of the skate built, but due to the design. Not the best, but for a growing child will do for a little while, before he buys something better.

Satisfied. Good price. Easy push-button adjustment. Sharpen prior to use.
I read a few negative reviews about the buckles on these ice skates, however I still chose to purchase them based on the reasonable price and adjustability. So far, I am pleased with my purchase. We have not had any trouble with the buckles loosening or breaking and we are careful not to over-tighten them. I purchased a size small (adjusts from 12-2) for our 6-year-old daughter and a size medium (adjusts from 2-5) for our 8-year-old son who are currently taking beginning ice skating lessons. I have been satisfied enough that I ordered a size large (adjusts from 6-9) for our 10-year-old daughter; we are waiting for their arrival. They must be sharped prior to use; I took the ice skates to our local ice rink for the service - they are the professionals so I trust them with the task. It cost us $10 per pair here on Long Island, NY. I purchased these in hopes of getting several seasons out of these ice skates.

These skates are wonderful! They look very nice and the fact that you can adjust the size is amazing! I always was slow to purchase items that the kids would outgrow the size before they outgrew the need. I bought these for my grandson who is taking skating lessons and I believe by the time he outgrows these, he will be ready for a more advanced pair of skates. He said they were comfortable right out of the box and he loved the way they look. These skates are listed as figure skates, but they look more like hockey skates. Even his instructor insisted they were hockey skates. I tried contacting the manufacturer for clarification, but they were impossible to reach. Soooo, I'd suggest you research it and make your own decision.

Good skates
Used once for my 8yr old. His shoe size is 2 going to 3 and this skate he is using at 2. Good skates and if they last long, they should go for another 1-2yrs hopefully. Liked the additional lace apart from welcrow and strap so that it can be tightened properly at front. Construction is also good. Haven't tried changing the size but there is a button to do that so assuming it will be easy when needed. (unlink screws that need loosening)

We also have a broken blade after just 1 month!
These are great skates in terms of their comfort and their potential to accommodate my growing kids, however, only 1 month after purchase the blade has cracked exactly like the other reviewer shows in the pictures. We also have the large size. It's obviously a weak stress point in the blade. I've emailed the company to see if they can send a replacement runner (or maybe 10 if this keeps happening?!) because it looks easy enough to unscrew with an allen wrench and replace. I will post an update if they respond. Ay yi yi.

Perfect for young skaters
These fit well for my 4 yr old who currently wears size 11. He loves them so much and has been using them weekly the entire winter/skating season! He's supported in the ankle and happily skating in his "cool skates". With a push of a button, a little tug and click, we'll go up to the next size. I see no reason why these wiouldn't last through the next few winters. My son liked them so much that we got a pink pair for our 6yr old in the same size. She says they're even better support than the rental skates! Perfect!

missing marking for the size
the size adjust is not good. You cannot tell what size you are adjusting to as there are no markers and there is no hard click or sound that will tell you that you have adjusted one size up/down.other than that, product arrived on time and no other issues. got them sharpened a local store and kids are using it.

Overall good just not right for small foot people
Overall the product is ok except if you have a relatively short foot then you will face difficulty balancing on it as naturally you will tend to fell backward very easily on this as compared to forward because it has more support in the front due to shorter adjustings
