After pre-styling and blow drying my hair, I use a finger-tip amount for my short hair, emulsifying before I apply. A little product goes a long way as I apply it to the length of my hair and shape the style. As I style, the product maintains hair volume and seems to provide some density. If I have any unruly hairs as I style, I add just a bit more; adding a bit more product will not add weight or make your hair look greasy. This whipped taffy goes on very light yet adds volume and controls hair well with a truly matte effect. Fragrance is subjective, but the pleasing sweet, fruity fragrance dissipates over time. I’m sensitive to fragrance, and this smells great. I have tried most of the highest-rated clays, pastes, and pomades, and I like the Kenra Whipped Taffy best for its easy application, light product-feel, medium hold, and matte effect. If you have thin, fine, or medium hair, you will like this product. Those with thick or coarse hair may need a product with more hold, or they might experiment with this product by adding more as they style.
