My 155 lb. Pitt recently experienced a torn ACL (no, he's not fat... he's a pure bred Staffy from a bloodline of overly large dogs... it's a family trait.) Surgery to repair a torn ACL for a dog this size is more invasive and requires a lengthy recovery period, and having a proper sling/support to use is an absolute must. The surgeon provided us with a generic support made of rough canvas and fiberglass belts, but those felt uncomfortable even to us when we were helping him. I saw this product and had to give it a try.This particular sling is large enough to handle our big boy comfortably, which is the key selling factor. The inside, or body-facing portion of the sling, is covered in a very soft synthetic fleece, while the outer shell is made of a soft, smooth material as well. The straps are Nylon and appear to be well-secured to the the sling and do fully surround the sling... they're not just attached to the sling, but provide structural support around the entirety of the sling. For me, with such a large dog, that was extremely important. The length is such that we could walk him without significant discomfort to ourselves... a shorter harness would require us to bend over while walking him.I'm very happy with the product... it performed and was manufactured perfectly as described, and I would definitely order it again.

Very promising so far!! My dog permanently hurt her back 1.5 years ago, and the injury made one of her back legs unable to support much weight. She also has a recurring problem with a front leg. We initially bought a harness that worked wonderfully. But then that one suddenly totally stopped being manufactured or sold anywhere (I discovered this when looking for a backup). And I have grown increasingly concerned, as that original harness is getting very worn out, but for some reason my dog has been unable to walk at all with any other lift harness. I have EIGHTEEN of them in my closet!, all completely useless. Until this one!!! Finally we have another good one :) it is actually better than our old one when my dog is doing poorly -- she's having an exceptionally bad spell right now where all her legs are malfunctioning, and this one is sturdy enough that she can walk short distances with it. Her old one was a bit too thin for days like this, it bent too badly under her twisting motions as she tried to walk, and didn't offer enough support.Actually I do know why none of our other harnesses worked. They are either too thin to offer enough support; or, if thicker, they were also so wide that they didn't conform enough to my dog's body to offer the back leg support she needed, basically just forced me to drag her around by the stomach while she attempted to move her legs on her own. And many of them had a very awkward length. The dimensions on this one are perfect

Easy to put around dog. Soft inside against the skin. Did have some issues with slipping and bunching up. By the time we got this our dog needed a lot of assistance so would probably work better with a dog that still has some mobility and just needs assistance getting up and stabilizing when walking.

My 75 lb dog has severe arthritis which has made her hind legs very weak so that stairs and getting into cars on onto furniture is sometimes very difficult. I use this sling to help her, and I like it because it is very quick and easy to slip on and off. My dog now waits for me to put the sling on her when she gets to the stairs.

This was exactly what I needed to help get my old dog outside. Hooking up a harness would have freaked her out. This wraps under her and would be assisting her walking before she had time to worry about it.Awesome product! 5 stars!

Had a dog with Degenerative Myelopathy who needed assistance. Felt sturdy enough to use, but our dog didn't allow us to use it as it cut right across his man-parts.

This has been amazing. My dog has his back left leg amputated. The first few days he needed some help outside and this was great. He still needs a little assistance going up stairs so we'll be using this for a bit longer. It's padded and very comfortable for him.

This sling was a big help in moving our 85 lb 19 year old German Shepherd. He was losing mobility in his hindquarters. The sling is long, large but soft and strong. The interior is a non-irritating fleece. The exterior feels largely like velveteen. No instructions for use or care are provided though it is not hard to figure out. Great for large and medium dogs with mobility issues. It comes in a convenient drawstring bag for storage.
