Q: The description says new zealand lamb's wool. then it says made in the usa. which is it?

I believe the wool comes from New Zealand, but is packaged in the USA.

Q: Can this be used to protect against sandal straps rubbing on my toes?

I think for sandals you need moleskin which sticks on - this is more for padding around toes probably best with socks.I tried to twist it around one toe wearing sandals but it probably works best inside socks.Very soft
