Stepper great, computer not great
I can't find any problem with the actual stepper. It works really well. Had it for 3 months and it's as good as the first day. However....the computer which allows the steps to be counted and shows how many calories have been burned (amongst other things) is not working now. I thought it might be the battery but that's not it. The computer comes on but does not work properly. I can do 10 steps before it recognises anything and is now totally useless. But as the machine itself works fine I continue using it even though I now have to count the steps myself! I recommend it but beware of the computer issue.

Stay away
While the pricing is attractive and its looks similar to other products on the market, it falls way short. The range of motion is very short so you dont get a nice complete stepping action, it feels more like a tip toe movement. Had mine for 2 months and it broke right at the base of the welding. Now I am not a heavy or big guy and used it around 3 times a week. If it couldnt manage with my frequency of use and weight I highly doubt it will work for someone looking to seriously use it to get into shape. You better off paying a bit more and going for a more sturdy, robust and better quality alternative as you will get your monies worth in the long run. It moves around as you use it so not very stable and makes a constant annoying noise as you step. Dont waste your money on this product.

An excellent piece of equipment for older people to use.
I love this machine. It's really good for a woman of my age (72) to use, especially over winter months when it's difficult to go out for a walk. It sits behind my armchair which is great for watching TV while you are doing your steps. It came with a guarantee and a follow up call from a nice young man from the supplier to ask if I was happy with it. A good company to deal with.

Getting a good workout from this already. Great product.

Instructions should state more clearly how to set it up.
You must raise one step all the way to the top before inserting the knob which adjusts the resistance. This important detail should be added to the instructions!

Even for a cheap stepper, it's not worth it. No adjustment.
It came with one of the metal struts slightly bent. The knob only adjusts the height and there's no way to adjust the tension at all, which is very stiff.I'm 12s 7lb and it takes 2 seconds for a pedal to come down, even with my full weight on it. Making any stepping slow motion. This can't be adjusted. At most this should be £25, not £49
