Wolverine: Old Man Logan Volume 0: Warzones

Old Man Logan surge de uma história de Mark Millar, num futuro distópico em que o Hulk se torna um monstro antropófago. Esta série, derivada de SECRET WARS II, e escrita por Michael Bendis, retoma o trabalho de Millar e o leva a novos patamares. Curiosamente, o que poderia ser mais uma tentativa fracassada da Marvel torna-se um interessante caminho alternativo para o Wolverine. Assim como no último filme no cinema, Logan está velho e solitário, vivendo em um mundo desolado. A história traz uma série de coadjuvantes e mexe o tempo todo com o que o baixinho foi e o que resta dele nesse futuro. Foi uma grata surpresa ler este trabalho, pelo que Bendis consegue com sua narrativa competente e climática quanto pela arte. Andrea Sorrentino simplesmente leva você para uma experiência única nesta HQ, pois sua arte não se restringe a um estilo apenas. Certamente você já viu as técnicas usadas aqui em outras HQs, mas certamente não viu todas reunidas por um mesmo artista. Um filme, um desenho animado, uma pintura... tudo isso junto faze de Old man Logan uma experiência inesquecível.

It can feel a little overwhelming with the pace, panel to panel, but what a f@@@in ride!This was excellent. It kept me thoroughly engaged, not to mention the artwork is spectacular.I've already got all the volumes that have been released already and have the next installation pre-ordered.Keep it coming!

As a fan of Wolverine and Mark Millar's seminal work Old Man Logan, I decided to pick up this trade paper back and see if this book lives up to the original, and boy does it. The story sees Logan leaving his section of Battleworld and encountering a number of freinds and foes from alternate universes. Brian Michael Bendis's story is gripping, as you want to know how Logan survives through each zone, and the artwork by Andrea Sorrentino, though stylized, is incredibly beautiful, I spent minutes just gawking at the front cover for Issue 2. This is one of the Secret Wars stories that I had to own, and I wasn't disappointed, truly a read any Wolverine fan should own, and as Old Man Logan is becoming the mainstream version of the James (Logan) Howlett Wolverine in the All New All Different Marvel Universe, it should be read by any person interested in picking up any of the new X-Men books in the foreseeable future.
