Turtle warmth
Wonderful source of warmth for my little turtles, and two larger tortoises. I live in Florida so the tortoises don't need it the way my little turtles do, but they all say THANK YOU.

since it is summer and my critters would be fine without a really hot lamp right now
I always buy the same bulbs for my reptile tank. The first of the four bulbs I inserted into the lamp was a strange color--much lighter colored, almost salmon-colored--than the usual red color. It was also much less hot than the usual bulbs. I didn't really care, since it is summer and my critters would be fine without a really hot lamp right now. However, the bulb decided to be very short-lived! It lasted less than 7 weeks, whereas they usually last many months. Very disappointing. I inserted a second one, and it is redder than the first. We'll see how long it lasts this time...

Broken bulb
One of the bulbs came completely smashed. Shards were falling out of the box all over my house as I obviously didn’t know one was broken before opening the box.The other 3 bulbs are in working condition.Won’t be ordering again as there was no protective measure taken, no bubble wrap or anything to avoid any breakage.
