Excellent but rigid.
The material quality is excellent and the build, stitching and overall design was fantastic, but it was personally too stiff for me as a combat boot, but it's most likely intended until broken in after long use.Like a few others who had this boot, it really does have a slant in the upper shaft, angling toward the back, making easy to sit with the legs stretched forward but because of how stiff it was, it was quite uncomfortable when standing straight and sitting at attention heels together. The size was quite tight for 11.5 inches and gets very hot.The sole shape didn't feel very natural for walking nor marching as my previous combat boots.Overall, it's premium quality combat boots and worth your money if you intend to buy and use it.But because of the other details, I could not wear them for long and had to return them.

Amazing comfort and warmth!
They fit perfect and feel amazing...I Felt like I could do wind sprints in these boots due to the bounce they had in the sole...highly recommend these to anyone looking for an amazing boot...also the anti-slip sole performs much much better than my old pair from 2008!

Ankle strangler.
I understand these are boots, they’re new, and they’re supposed to fit snug around the ankle, but hear me out:I’ve had several pairs of boots throughout my career. I’ve always preferred the 8” zipper. When I tried these on, it felt as if my foot was being angled downward a bit. Like this:\_When I stood up, it felt like the ankle part of the boot was too tight. So I loosened up the laces and created a little slack. No change. When putting these on, with the zipper down, you have to break a sweat getting your foot in. Having the zipper down creates 1.5” more room to get into, as there is a weather flap sewn between the opposing sides behind the zipper. Make sense? So loosen up the laces every time you put these on.Maybe they’ll soften up, but these are tight. The size runs true, but the ankle situation is getting me bummed out.The materials look great. The leather shined up with a few coats of polish. I will try and update this post after 2 weeks.

Great look, fit, SHOCK ABSORBTION!
Size/fit is accurate for "american" feet. Real sharp looking for "combat" style boots and very comfortable ro walk OR RUN in! That was the biggest surprise. The Shock Mitigating System actually works. I think a person could go jogging in these and if they didn't look down at their feet wouldn't know tjey were wearing boots! They are that comfortable. The laces are the perfect length too. So many times with boots you get laces that are waaay too long and you end up having to double/triple tieing .and tucking alot of excess shoe lace. It's as if manucturers pull from one length bin no matter the boot height! (Annoying.)There's a nice tab at the top of the boot to hold/hide the zipper pull when it's zipped all the way up.Juat one thing to note: Don't think you'll be able to rie the boot one time and use the zipper to remove and put on the boot without having to looseen/re-tighten the laces each time, because you will.
