Crack in the handle with engrained dirt. Handle feels plasticy and cheap for the price.

Works very well for my XL BGE
Not a BGE product so I had some reservations. They thankfully were unfounded.Installation is a pain. I did not remove the lid due to the weight so it took a little longer, but I took my time to make sure the rim surface was scraped clean and then used 90% alcohol to remove the remaining old adhesive.So far I'm 4 cooks in, with high heat, and the gasket is working perfectly.Make sure you clean the lid and bowl surfaces. Ensure that the old gasket and adhesive are completely removed. Apply the new gasket and then close the lid for 24 hours. If you can do that, this gasket will work perfectly and much cheaper than the BGE version.

Works Great, Awesome Seal
I recently bought the smoker and started up a steep learning curve and it is taking me some time to figure out the smoker process on my own. Well worth the effort as I can now regulate the temp with ease and consistency. I had to seal the door, to much air was entering the smoker and giving me fits, this took care of it. I used Krud Kutter and rubbing alcohol to clean off the inside of the door. It took about 1 hour to get it back down to the paint, I let it dry then applied the seal. It went on as easily as you would think it would. I am now able to control the temp and airflow with precision, making a cook almost carefree.

Backing Tape can tear.
This appears to be a good replacement for the gasket on my large Big Green Egg. Time will tell. What I did not like is how easily the backing tape tore while applying the gasket material. It happened twice - once for the top and once for the bottom. The thing is, you never even know and by the time you do, you have already laid down several inches, but only a portion has stuck down to the rim as the tape has torn and not exposing the adhesive. Then, you have to pull up the portion that did stick down and begin again. Not good. The backing tape needs to be stronger.
