Unfinished product.
Do yourself a favor. Order a roll of emery cloth and plan to spend a couple hours wiping the oil off and making these hand tools safe to use with your hands.The edges are very sharp and require a fair bit of work smoothing the edges to make these calipers useful.

Good but too many sharp edges
Item as described, the edges were sharp As a knife however and could have been sanded to a smooth edge

NOT stainless steel; dangerously sharp!
Summary: These are listed as stainless steel, they are NOT; they fail the magnet test, stainless can be mildly magnetic, but this one stuck to a magnet and was difficult to remove, therefore MILD STEEL. They are drenched in oil, another sign they are not stainless. Second issue is safety related, ALL of the edges of these are razor sharp, so much so that you could probably use them as scissors or pruning sheers.Pros: None.Cons: As discussed above.Conclusion: Cannot recommend, item not as listed, 1-star.

Cheap tool for wood turners
This is a nice cheap option for various calipers. The only drawback to them is they naturally rust very quickly. You will need to make sure you keep them oiled up to reduce the chances of oxygenation of the metal.
