Review: Best tmnt comic I’ve ever read - The art was good the writing was incredible and the character were magnificent but it’s an amazing comic and I bought it months ago but I still read it over and over until this day I definitely recommend it Review: Although the direction has changed since the last big story and there is grief among the main characters this story is still as fantastic as the previous 100 issues, I love Sophie's artwork as much as Santolouco and other artists in the previous stories. This isn't as fun or action packed as the previous volume but depth and character development easily make up for that, being as their lives are very different after the affects of City at War it makes sense for there to be a different feel for a while. Well worth a read!

So okay, the story is fun, the art isn’t great and it’s just a fun comic to read. But I do know I’m biased because of the nostalgia it brings back for my childhood. But yes I do think it’s worth getting if you want to step out of the super serious grumpy dark knight stories where the joker isn’t even lighthearted anymore. With all that’s going on I need a little fun in my characters and can’t do much better than this. One thing I can say isn’t that if you’re collecting like I am the IDW Hardcover volumes make sure you check any of these shorter single volumes because a lot of them are already in the hardcovers (which are amazing) in fact I’d recommend just starting your own collection of these cool hard covers so you’ll have the full stories and so much extra stuff besides just that series like the TMNT UNIVERSE which is volume 3 I believe is amen THAT is awesome! You never know when you won’t be able to get them anymore or some jerk is gonna decide just a few of them are worth an absurd amount of money. This was delivered nice and protected and I found nothing wrong with it in that way. I mean it’s amazon so you are taking a chance every time you order books or anything that can get smashed or ruined by rough handling or someone’s IDGAF packaging.

Once again IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reminds us what makes Ninja Turtles stories so great: family. Divided and alone, each turtle must work at coming together once again despite the loss of their Father. The story is not rushed and there are many impact moments throughout including a surprising return of an character from the 80s cartoon and a pack of adorable weasels! Each character is written true to their traits and even ‘side’ characters like Apolex had much time to shine! I must add, the art of Sophie Campbell is by far one of my favorite visual rendition of the Turtles. Granted they do not look as though as some other version, but I feel that this take humanizes them and is visually beautiful! I would also argue that this paperback’s cover makes them look kick butt! In fact the entire issue, from front to back, including the cover alts littered throughout the book, is a piece of art and very easy to hold on my hand. For fans of the IDW series wondering where our half shelled heroes will go next after issue 100, this is the paperback you are looking for. Just be careful not to drop any pizza on it! Let’s just say mine is no longer in mint condition. Turtle Power!

I reviewed the second volume but not the first whoops; as an avid enjoyer of both 2012 and 2018 tmnt, reborn might have surpassed both of those on accident. the art's really good, as well as the dialogue. I think i found one typo in one of the books so far, but that isn't an issue obviously. they're really well put together, but if we're speaking literally, the book glue in some of the copies is Very Not Good. I've had to tape pages back together. But I like this storyline too much to drop a star, so here's to hoping for more content
