A great bit of kit for small lathe projects. Comes with everything you need to get started. Can be extended with some 8020 aluminium profile.I have used it on some pendants I have been making and was impressed with it.The included chisels are a bit flimsy but ok to get you started. I would suggest investing in a decent set.If you only want to do the occasional small project I would highly recommend it, if you need to do anything bigger then spend an extra £100 for a hobby lathe.

I knew that, as a cheaper item, this wasn't going to be fancy. And I knew the reviews were mixed. But I figured I would give it a shot as I could only lose £20 if it turned out to be rubbish. And, credit to it, it actually really impressed me at first - I was using it to make some pins for the inside of a lock and it did a wonderful job. I was really, really happy with the product. And then it exploded. Literally. The fuse box in my house tripped and several of my computers lost power - including my £2,500+ pc. (Thankfully everything has protection against power loss and surges.) The device will no longer power on. And I now realise that I could have lost more than £20. I can not in any way recommend this to anyone. Which is a shame because it actually did a really nice job, for about 20 minutes.

Works for small materials and price is fab.

W HEN YOU BUY A ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE YOU EXPECT IT TO COME WITH SOME INSTRUCTIONS OF HOW TO USE IT SAFELY,ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE NOT USED ONE BEFORE AS IN MY CASE ALTHOUGH I AM A COMPETENT DIY PERSON I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPOINTED I MENTIONED THIS ORIGINALLY AFTER MY PURCHASE A WHILE AGO AND STILL NO REPONCE FROM THE SUPPLIER I THINK AMAZON SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS MATTER A.S.A.P.

It came a few days earlier than expected. It looks good, I like that you get a speed control with about 7 speeds. I also like that you get some knifes with it. I'm really looking forward to trying it

There is Absolutly NO Variable Speed. If you want to reverse the Motor you have to change the cables over on the back of the Little Motor.So it's kinda Lying about a few things. Lets see when I have somethign to turn.
