Q: Does this motherboard have PCIe 4.0 support?

There is a LOT of confusion here. 1. 10th generation Intel CPU's do not support it. 2. ASUS' marketing materials discuss things like LGA 1200 compatible motherboards intended for Intel's 10th Gen processors—will come equipped with the required repeaters for PCIe 4.0 bandwidth across a limited number of PCIe lanes. Supposedly, two PCIe slots and a single M.2 SSD slot are reportedly reserved for PCIe 4.0. 3. There is what you have right now, then there is what is coming out that is planned, then there is, to put it bluntly, vaporware. As far as PCIE 4.0 goes, right now, it's vaporware. This is a good board. Don't buy it based on some marketing stuff saying it is all ready for it, etc etc. That's the path to madness. It will run just fine, and it will BLAST benchmarks. Get a good video card to put in this unit, get a decent processor that you can use with it and some good RAM. I wouldn't run less than 64GB of RAM, and I put 128B in mine. Q: It says the socket type is lga 1155 and 1200 is that a mistake or am I just missing some information about this and that's normal?

Sometimes sellers will mis-categorize socket types on accident. For the Z490, it should be LGA 1200.

Q: Does this board support XMP memory profiles?

Yes. Go to the ADVANCED Mode in your BIOS, then get over to the AI TWEAKER tab, and in there you "should" see the AI OVERCLOCK TUNER, where you can set XMP mode. Once set, the board will adjust all the values automatically for you. Then you can save the BIOS changes and reset.

Q: Does this motherboard work with older cpus?

This motherboard is only compatible with 10th gen intel processors LGA1200.
