Q: okay so how do you take the display numbers off? I'm trying to scratch them off and peel the sticker off of the screen, but nothing is working.

On mine it was just a thin clear plastic layer that I was easily able to just peel off, like a static cling.

Q: can you set this to countdown any occasion like Christmas or birthdays? thanks!

Yes I am going to use it for a Disney world vacation count down and adapt the surround to a Mickey Mouse shape with holes for the display and buttons.

Bug in the countdown loses digits

I got the countdown to Trump's last day timer (bigmouth's site links to this timer from their advert for the Trump one now, so I guess they sold out). If this has the same internals, then every 10 days the countdown loses a digit on the days. You can cycle through with the mode button to fix that, but it's annoying.For example, if there are 40 days left, the the next day it will say 3 days left instead of 39 until you cycle through the set up with the mode button.
