2016 Ford F150 3.5L Ecoboost.Bought the BBK 1822 to replace the OEM one that failed after 123,000 miles.Removal of the old one was quick and easy. Installing the BBK was a two part challenge.The first part, tightening the bottom bolts with an Allen wrench was a chore. There's not much room and it's blind. Getting the tool into the bolt head was very difficult and time consuming. I don't know if anyone from BBK will actually read this, but I hope they consider providing socket head bolts instead of the Allen head ones included. Socket head bolts would have cut the instillation time down by quite a bit. This is an expensive high performance part, give us easier to use bolts.The second part, getting the hose back onto the throttle body. It doesn't line up with the lip because the BBK is wider and sticks out further. It takes a lot of force to move it over enough to center it onto the lip. You just have to manhandle it. Keep trying. It will go on. Not much else that can be done about this. It is what it is.So what I thought was going to be a 30 minute install turned out to be closer to 60 minutes. It's also back breaking because you're leaning over the side and front of the truck trying to tighten bolts and line up the hose. Other than that, a piece of cake.All that being said, it was worth it. I can actually tell a difference in performance and sound. It's certainly more responsive. It's almost as if I have it in "Sport" mode all the time. I definitely recommend this throttle body over OEM.

I bought this for less than I’ve seen it elsewhere. I installed is and followed all instructions, it did not work. Seller allowed a return, but not a full price return. Makes me wonder how many times they have sold it

Simple install (I have rousch CAI). Noticeable performance gain. A bit pricey though. I had to replace a bad factory throttle body and my local Ford dealership sucks so bad I didn't want to get it fixed thru the warranty. If you have to replace yours, spend the extra money and get that mild low rpm boost that your v6 needs.

First thing that needs to be pointed out. In no way is my review about amazon or the seller. This review is only pertaining to the product. No where in the advertisement does it state you'll need any different size intake connecting hoses. I got the roush cai and then I got the throttle body. The hose connecting the cai to the factory throttle body was a really tight fit. When I went to put the cai connecting hose on the bbk throttle body. ... it took some silicone lube, myself and 2 other mechanics to get the connector hose. I had to quickly put a hose clamp on it before it could pop back off. I would not buy this item again. Amazon and the seller are not at fault, this is a BBK issue. I think the money I spent on this product would have been better spent elsewhere. Now for the good points: the bbk throttle body seemed well built, and was a good fit. The wire plugs connected perfectly. I installed it and then started my car. It started and ran as expected. I do see this as a product to buy if money is not an issue and you don't care what you spend to get every last drop of horse power out of your car. I do not however see this as a product that is worth what it costs. Again, the seller and amazon are not at fault of any kind.

Simple install if you are mechanically minded; remove a few worm drive clips, disconnect some plugs and undo the bolts. Reverse install using the new bolts (they are slightly longer to allow for the deeper casting on the BBK) and you are done. The fir tree clip for the tube that runs over the throttle body didn't fully engage in the hole as the top of the BBK TB is slightly higher than the surface with the hole. But the fir tree rests in the hole and retains the tube well enough.In my case, I have an AiRaid CAI fitted and so needed to use a smear of petroleum jelly and some finger work to stretch the silicone connector over the 5mm larger intake, but no big deal. I definitely noticed more pull at the bottom end and the intake/exhaust noise is more "throaty', as the BBK video on YouTube states.The next day, I received my Bama Performance Race tune with this mod added and that further enhanced the power and acceleration from my V6, which also has BBK short headers and 275/40 x 18 rear tires (slightly smaller rolling radius than stock). You don't need a tune (the Engine ECU will adjust to suit) but it is a benefit. A little pricey, but money well spent, considering the benefits for those of us seeking those extra ponies under the hood of our Pony!

Would not work at all. Idled so bad it created an exhaust leak from rattling my engine so much. If it worked I would’ve been happy but sadly it didn’t. Had bbk help me and my tuner. Both said it had a bad icm

Easy to install. Works great. Noticed slight increase in performance and sound.

Car has a P2111 code one month after the installation of the TB. I reinstalled the original TB and the issue was resolved. The car is all stock which means that the only issue is incompatibility with the BBL throttle body for a 3.7 Mustang.

I bought this because my stock throttle body was failing and cleaning it was not working so upon installing the BBK i decided to not look up the directions ( there is no paper copy only barcodes and url) since i had reinstalled the stock throttle body 4 times already and pulling out of my driveway i decided to try a pull, heard a loud thud then lost most of my power, my stomach dropped and i thought i had blown my turbos to bits as it was not getting boost, once i got back home i looked under the hood and my charge pipe had fallen right off the throttle body, the stock hose clamp does not fit very well and can easily slip off if tightened only using a screw driver. To avoid this you can do what i did, cut the tabs off the stock clamp and tighten it down as much as possible with a ratchet or you can go get a slightly larger hose clamp( from home depot or any place like that) and use your ratchet, do not use a screwdriver the intake side is much larger and will also require a bit of manevering, im used to this but you have to work the hose on agressively and make sure it is making contact against the throttle body. The extra airflow is noticeable and the truck is more responsive but the throttle body is rough, tool marks and a rough exterior are present and for $600 i would have liked it to be shiny. If your engine is having misfires do to the throttle body acuator then get this and install it right, the stock ones can go even any time even as low as 10,000 kmEdit: 5 years later this throttle body is still working perfect, never had an issue. Installing this and changing my spark plugs yearly have cut out all misfire issues with my 14’ F-150 ecoboost and the truck has been running perfectly for years.

Works well in the V6 Mustang especially when coupled with a cold air intake and a tune.

Great product bolts right on remember to disconnect battery when installing or your car will not run right
