doesn't work for sportsman
I have a 2008 Polaris Sportsman 800 touring. It said that this lift kit fit, however when we went to install it, the back brackets didn't work. Its disappointing to do all the work just to find out that it doesn't fit. Called Highlighter only to find out they don't make a lift kit for my machine. Fine time to tell me now halfway through the modification.

Does what it is supposed to do
It seemed like a quality item to me. I had it put on by the local motorsports garage for $150. They warned me that the angles may cause problems with the boots. Then, I ripped a boot the very first trip. It had dry rotted though. Got that replaced and haven't had any problems since. The guy at the shop said that might continue to happen until I get all the boots replaced. I paired this 2" lift with the high lifter heavy duty springs because my wife and kid ride with me most of the time. My atv actually handles much better now when they are both on there with me. It is rough if they are not though.

Great and easy install on my 2015 polaris sportsman 570 ...
Great and easy install on my 2015 polaris sportsman 570 didnt need to do any grinding like instructions says to do or replace axels. Installed it on Christmas day and been riding since with no problems on stock axels still and i go thru some deep mud holes with no problems

Fairly easy.
I did end up pulling my axle apart, but that was an error on my end. Not a bad lift.

Use recommended axles!!!
Great lift kit. Installed on my 2011 sportsman 500 ho with ease. Did have to grind the front so the boots didn't hit but that was easy to do. Tried running stock axles and American CV axles, DO NOT DO THIS!!! You gotta run the axles they recommend. I broke both the brand new American CV axles in 2 days in my front yard. Bought highlifter outlaw dht axles and have been riding hard since. Love the lift kit, really makes the 4 wheeler look tough.
